6 min read

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

1Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Don’t take your shoes off your feet. If you take them off, put them in between your feet.” Our Holy Prophet ﷺ told to put shoes aside or between your feet in Masjid back then. “Don’t put them next to your friend to the right and in the back, because you create discomfort for those behind you.” Everything should be in order not to create discomfort to people. You should put your shoes in the designated place, or to the left side in a way that doesn’t disturb anyone, says our Holy Prophet ﷺ.

2Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “A prayer of a person whose dress is so long that it gets under the feet is not accepted.” If your dressing touches dirt in the street on the way, that makes the prayer unacceptable. Therefore, you should pay attention to your clothes and wear it without pulling it on the ground.

3Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Undoubtedly, when you start the prayer, Allah ﷻ will direct at you with His ﷻ mercy until it is finished or until you do something bad.” When a person stands for prayer, he should know that Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla watches and favors him. So he should perform his prayer in Khushu and not deal with other things.

4Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Those who laugh, look around, or crack their fingers during the prayer are in the same position.” Their prayer is invalid, says our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

5Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “When someone among you is in prayer, it means he is talking with his Lord.” It means he is talking to Allah ‘Azza waJalla. When you make Takbir in the prayer, you are in the presence of Allah ﷻ. So you are talking to Him ﷻ. “For this reason, he should not spit in front of him or to the right. He should spit either to the left, or under his feet.” It there was sand back then. As it was sand, it was ok. But nowadays you can’t do that in the prayer.

6Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “When a person has not finished his prayer and keeps wiping his forehead, that is from coarseness.” When a person made Sajdah during the prayer and there was sand, it stuck at their foreheads. That is written as Thawab for them in Qiyamah. Therefore, you should not do that during the prayer, says our Holy Prophet ﷺ. You can do that after the prayer is finished.

7Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “A person who performs his prayer with his hair tied back is like a person praying with his hands tied in the back.”

8Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Beware of looking around during the prayer.” Don’t turn your head and look around. “This action is the reason for destruction.” You don’t show importance to the prayer when you look around. You must look at the place of Sajdah and know that you are in the presence of Allah ﷻ so that your prayer is better.

9Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Putting hands on the waist during the prayer is the way people of hell have rest.” Putting your hands on your waist without putting them above each other [as they must be in prayer] is the tradition of people of hell.

10-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “If shaytan makes me forget something during the prayer, the Jama’ah should say SubhanAllah. And women should clap their hands.” Women should not make a sound. We are humans, this always happens. A person can sit after one Rakah thinking he did two Rakat, or he thinks he made three after two Rakat. People must certainly warn him. If there are men, they should say SubhanAllah. If there are no men, women should make a clap with their hands.

11-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “If Imam forgets or mixes up during the prayer, saying SubhanAllah is special for men, and clapping hands is special for women.” Women should not raise their voices.

12-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Be the opposite of Jews by praying in your shoes or Khufs, as they don’t pray in their shoes and Khufs.” Certainly, shoes must be clean. When you are traveling, that is different. Jews don’t pray that.

13-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Praying in clean shoes is the decoration of the prayer.” It must be with Khufs.

14-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Spitting, blowing nose, having period and falling asleep during the prayer are from shaytan.” He does that to disturb people and to break their prayer.

15-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Count the Ayat that you recite in the Fard and Nafilah prayers.” Of course, if you can count them. Not everyone can do that. If you can, that is good.

Sadaqa RasuluLlah fi ma qal, aw kama qal. The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ says the truth in what he ﷺ said or as he ﷺ said.
