The Believer Is Merciful and Patient

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm: ‘ (17) 18) )”, ‘Wa Tawāşawā Biş-Şabri Wa Tawāşawā Bil-Marĥamah (17) Ūlā'ika 'Aşĥābu Al-Maymanah (18)’, ‘And advised one another to patience and advised one another to mercy (17) They are those on the Right Hand (the dwellers of Paradise) (18).’ (Qur’ān 90:17-18). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives good tidings to the patient and merciful believers. They are in the highest ranks, on the right side and in the beautiful places of paradise. They attain the mercy of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

Patience and mercy are the basis of Islām. It is the way our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam taught us, recommended to us and showed us. Muslims must be merciful and patient. Impatient and merciless ones must reform themselves. Kāfirs have no mercy, no patience and not any goodness. They are the customers of hell. They are people who deserve hell. A person with no patience and mercy, Allāh ﷻ will not have mercy on him either. He who does not show mercy will not find mercy.

That’s why, the believer is always in goodness. He wants good for everyone. Not just for people, but for everything: animals, trees; he has mercy for everything. Therefore, cutting down trees mustn’t be in vain. It is wrong to burn greenery in Islām. It is makrūh. There is no permission for that. Mankind do so. They do all kinds of things. As we said, mercy is not only towards humans, but to the tree, to the bird, to the animal. Mercy towards everything is the way shown by Islām. Hypocrites now show themselves as merciful. They show mercy to people. However, they have no mercy, they have nothing. They do the opposite of the laws and lifestyles placed by Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. It is also oppression towards people. Because everything is made according to a balance and scale. If you change or interfere with something, you are oppressing everyone.

People of this time do the same thing. There is no mercy left. There is no goodness left. And on top of that, they say, “We are good. We are merciful.” It is Islām that’s showing all the most beautiful things, showing the best way. It is what humanity needs. Everything other than Islām is badness to humanity. It is faulty. It is the means to all kinds of harm.

Therefore, the way of Islām is the salvation of humanity. Allāh ‘Azza waJalla says in Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Sha’n, “Wa Law 'A`jabaka Kathratu◌ Al-Khabīthi”, “Even though the abundance of evil might impress you.” (Qur’an 05:100). Which means these dirty things, bad things: “Everyone is doing them, I will do them too” beware! Don’t try to do them, don’t like them, He ﷻ says. Don’t like it. “All people are doing this, let me do the same.” They are at loss, you too will throw yourself into danger, you will throw yourself into the dirt. Never even try it, says Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Therefore, even if [those upon] Islām are few in this world, stick with it and follow it so that you will be saved, and be the means of salvation for others also, in shā’a Llāh.
