The Way of the Prophet ﷺ

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm: ‘ / ’, ‘Inna d-Dīna inda Allāhi l-Islām’, ‘Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.’ (Qur’ān 03:19). Islām is the religion sent by Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla to humanity. There is no other religion. The religion is one. All Prophets are upon this religion. All of them are in Islām.

Even if other sharī‘ahs change, each Prophet passes that trust to the other Prophet. And that is up till our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said, “I completed this religion.”, “Al-Yawma 'Akmaltu Lakum Dīnakum Wa 'Atmamtu Alaykum Nimatī Wa Rađītu Lakumu Al-'Islāma Dīnāan”, “This day, I have perfected your religion for you, and have approved for you Islam as your religion.” (Qur’an 05:03). “Your religion have been completed today. I taught you everything,” said our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. He ﷺ said this to the ṣaḥābah in the farewell khuṭbah.

Certainly, people did not understand our Holy Prophet ﷺ then. Only Sayyidinā Abū Bakr understood. The religion was complete, so our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was going to pass away to ākhirah; he cried. Other ṣaḥābah were not aware of it. But then they understood it and got upset. Who understood it got upset. Because our Holy Prophet ﷺ was 63 years old, he ﷺ lived much stronger than normal people. His ﷺ death brought great sadness to the ṣaḥābah.

But his ﷺ duty in this world was not over. It is everlasting. He ﷺ is Hayy (everliving) and undying. He ﷺ is always present. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is present for his ﷺ ummah. He ﷺ is the last Prophet. And the ummah that comes afterwards must follow his ﷺ way. How is his ﷺ way followed? It is by connecting to him ﷺ. And connection comes through Ahlu lBayt, ṣaḥābah, then ‘ulamā’, awliyā’ and mashāyikh up to this day. That is the right way. People make up other ways according to their own minds and say, “Let us change it a little. Let us do this and that.” There is no change in the actual matters. There is no change in praying, in times of prayers and things to be done. Certainly, in terms of livelihood, it is according to the time of everyone. But the main things which are ḥajj, praying, zakāh, fasting; all of them go on the same way. There is no change in them.

And that is the way of ṭarīqah. Our ṭarīqah is to follow our Holy Prophet ﷺ, to go on his ﷺ way, to carry out the orders of Allāh ﷻ. Nothing else. There are many people who make fitnah. There are many people who can’t tolerate it. They want to take out this light. ‘ / / ’, ‘Yurīdūna liyuṭfiū nūra Llahi bi-afwāhihim wa Llahu mutimmu nūrihi walaw kariha l-kāfirūn, ‘They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, even though the disbelievers dislike it.’ (Qur’ān 61:08). They want to extinguish the light with their mouths. This light cannot be extinguished. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla will complete this light. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, this light is with Muslims who are on the right way, with Muslims who are on the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. This light cannot be extinguished. This light will go on with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. They can make fitnah as much as they want. They can like it or not.

We are in ṭarīqah. Our ṭarīqah is Naqshbandī. There are 41 ṭarīqahs. They are true ṭarīqahs. If you like it, you like it. If you don’t like it, you’ll be mindless, they say. That is the oath between us and Allāh ﷻ. That is our word. That is the word of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. It won’t change in shā’a Llāh. This bay‘ah is the bay‘ah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. We keep on the same way with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. People may speak whatever they want. Wahhābīs, salafīs or I don't know who. We are not afraid of anyone. And we don’t owe anything to anyone. Whoever likes it, likes it. And who don’t like it know for themselves.

May Allāh ﷻ be pleased with us. That is enough for us. May Allāh ﷻ not separate us from this way. May Allāh ﷻ not confuse us. There are many confused Muslims. They destroy themselves. This way is the right way that goes to our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam for 1,400 years without change. There are people who change it lately. They are unlucky people. May Allāh ﷻ protect us from their end. May He ﷻ not separate us from the right way. May He ﷻ give guidance to people.
