Be Good with Neighbors
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam: everybody knows he ﷺ has the best adab., “Allāh ﷻ gave me good behavior and He perfected it.” The best good behaved one. He ﷺ teaches us good behavior.
One of what he ﷺ ordered us is to be good with people. With everybody, we must be good. And especially, he ﷺ said with the neighbor: to be good with the neighbor. In Qur’an also, “Wa Al-Jāri Dhī Al-Qurbá”, “The near neighbor.” (Qur’an 04:36) Meaning the near neighbor. The neighbor is very important. Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam was every time speaking about the neighbor. Even some ṣaḥābah thought they [neighbors] will inherit from him ﷺ. Of course, the neighbor won’t inherit, but this is to show how important the neighbor is.
When you have a neighbor, you must be good with him. You must be good with the believer and non-believer. But with the believer, you must be more careful. You must help him; you must look after him. If anything happens - Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says your īmān is not complete if you are full and your neighbor is hungry.
Every time Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was saying about the neighbor. Insha’Allah you are living here, anywhere also, but here it’s more important to be good with neighbor, whether believer or non-believer; it’s not important. What’s important - in Qur’an and Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was not saying, don’t be good with others or non-Muslims. He ﷺ says with the neighbor, commonly.
So insha’Allah this is good. Everything is good from Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Who follows this, especially this also, will be happy and restful, in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ keep us in the way of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, learning his ﷺ teachings. This is not ‘ibadah, not praying, but Allāh ﷻ rewards you
like it, inshā’Allāh. May Allāh ﷻ bless you. Insha’Allah we meet again. Thank you. As-Salāmu ‘alaykum.
Al-Fatiha.
