Don't Follow Everyone

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm: “ 6

6 ”, “Fa-man aẓlamu mimmani ftará ‘alá Llāhi kadhiban liyuḍilla n-nāsa bighayri ‘ilmin, inna Llāha lā yahdi l-qawma ẓ-ẓālimīn,” “Then who is more unjust than one who invents a lie about Allah to mislead the people by [something] other than knowledge? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.” (6:144). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, then who is more tyrant than the one who invents lies saying what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla did not say and presenting it to people as the word of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. The person who shows it to them is a tyrant. Allah ﷻ does not guide the tyrants.

The way they show is not a way. Everyone shows their own way anyway. The unbeliever shows his disbelief. The deviant shows his deviance. They are already clear. But the person who says he is a Muslim and presents to people saying, “This is the word of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, the word of our Holy Prophet ﷺ ”, that is the worst of them. Allāh ﷻ does not guide them. Their end will be bad.

There are many people now who claim to be Muslims and are trying to destroy Islām. Some are doing this knowingly and some are doing it unknowingly. Those doing it knowingly are worse. Those doing it unknowingly are also bad. Because since you say you are guiding people, you definitely have some knowledge. The most important knowledge in your knowledge is to say what Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla did not say and to show it to people as the way of Allāh ﷻ.

This is the biggest oppression. Because you are playing with people’s īmān. You are playing with their lives. You are playing with their eternal lives, so that when they go out of the way, most people are destroyed and go away. Few people come to their senses and repent. Therefore, this is a big oppression. Leaving people to eternal wretchedness, eternal bad life, and leading them out of the way is the worst thing.

There are many of these people in this time. People are also following them. O man! You are not following the right person, you are going on the wrong way. There is no excuse for this. A person might leave the right way and sometimes confuse ways, but he can still return and go back on the right way.

Yesterday, for example, we were going to Hāla Sulṭān. We lost our way. We wandered around and then returned again to the same way. But if you go on the wrong way, if you follow that way, you will never reach. You will have gone out of the way. If you do not return to the right way, you will never reach anywhere. You will have gone astray. You will have gone to crooked ways, to ways that will destroy you.

Therefore, we need to pay attention to this. There is no excuse. People say, “I’ve unknowingly gone after this guy, after this woman. They said this and that. They spoke beautifully. I have followed them.” This is not an excuse. Look through it, ask and investigate what the truth is. If it is true, follow it. If it is not true, it will be a win for you to turn back immediately from wherever you are.

May Allāh ﷻ protect us. There are many antichrists. There are many liars. False prophets appeared after our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. After them, there appeared false scholars and bad scholars. Millions of people who followed them were destroyed. May Allāh ﷻ protect us.

We must be careful about that. This way of ours is the right way. It is clear and obvious to everyone. Whoever leaves it and goes on the wrong way bears his own fault. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May Allāh ﷻ preserve us, in shā’a Llāh.
