Research Before You Accept

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

A‘ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 49:06). ‘Yā ayyuhā lladhīna āmanū in jā’akum fāsiqun binabain fatabayyanū an tuṣībū qawman bijahālatin fatuṣbiḥū ‘alā mā fa‘altum nādimīn’, ‘O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate, lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying when you hear something, research it very well to know if it is true or not. Don’t rush. If you rush, you will regret it. You will harm the opposite side. And then you will realize that information is false, and you will regret doing what you did - says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla in Qur’an ‘Azimu sh-Shan.

Our condition nowadays is such that we don’t research anything and accept what we hear immediately. We have, “Su’u z-Zann”, bad assumptions about people. And apart from having bad assumptions, oftentimes we bring suffering and harm to them. We shouldn’t rush in things that can make us regret it. There are many bad situations in this time.

There is a famous saying: if you step in mud, a footprint will remain. Even if the mud is gone, the footprint will remain. And that will remain in people’s minds. Therefore, the mind must be clean and away from bad assumptions. Our ancestors used to say not to believe everything we hear. If you believe everything you hear, you will become a toy and a laughingstock in others’ hands for life. This is the situation at the moment. They are cheating all people. When they say something - People don’t believe in Qur’an, they don’t believe other things. But when someone tells a lie, they show importance to his words and ruin everything. They cause tension and do all kinds of badness.

People of the present time don’t even feel regret. In the time of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam they used to say, “You may regret what you do.” Nowadays, there is no regret, no (conscience). When the truth is revealed, they keep quiet, or they keep doing badness saying, “What we heard is true. He is telling false things” in the same manner. May Allah ﷻ protect us.

Who does badness finds badness. Who lies is never successful. Those who lie and slander other people have big sins. They have a lot of suffering in Akhirah. Unless they are sorry and ask for forgiveness from them in this world, they will go through a lot of suffering in Akhirah. But people nowadays don’t apologize. It is such a shame to apologize. There is no acceptance of made mistakes in people of this time. It is very rare. But most of them are brought up in such a way that after the Ottomans there are no Adab and good manners anymore. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ give mind and understanding to people insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ send the Sahib insha’Allah.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.

There are recited Quran Khatms, Salawats, Tasbihat, Tahlilat, Ayat and Surahs. May all of them be accepted in the sight of Allah ﷻ. We gift them firstly to our Holy Prophet ﷺ, his Ahlu l-Bayt and Sahabah, souls of all Anbiya, Awliya, Asfiya and Mashayikh. We gift them to the souls of Mu’mins and Muslims. May Allah ﷻ accept it. May it be the means to goodness. May there be happiness here and hereafter.

Li-Llahi Ta’ala l-Fatiha.
