Waswasah
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.
(Qur’ān 114:04). ‘Min sharri l-waswāsi l-kḥannās’, ‘From the evil of the retreating whisperer.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, we seek refuge in Allāh ﷻ from what causes Waswasa, shayṭāns and jinns. So Waswasa is the shayṭān’s job. What does Waswasa mean? You are doing a deed, any deed. The most important of them is worship. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has made it easy for you. Make it easy, he ﷺ says. Everyone can do it. This is shayṭān’s trick, he makes waswasa for him showing what he did as supposedly not accepted. He falls into distress. He falls into sadness. He destroys himself. Then, he won’t gain anything. Because waswasa is from shayṭān.
Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla told everyone what they could do. “Yassirū wa-lā tu‘assirū,” he ﷺ says. “Yassirū wa-lā tu‘assirū.” Make it easy, don’t make it difficult. If you make it difficult, people will make it to a limit. After that, they won’t even do the worship they did because they couldn’t take it on. They give up on it. Then, what the shayṭān wants happens.
That’s why, some of these shayṭān’s groups; we will call them as such from now on - Some of them are under the Muslim guise. Some turn people’s lives upside down saying, “We are doing them a favor.” They ruin them. They have neither friends nor relatives left. They all become enemies to each other. Why is that? This is because these things do not exist in Islam. They show the Muslims, sincere Muslims things as if they exist in Islam. They confuse them, making them enemies to others and enemies to themselves. That person will be ruined. This waswasa is not good at all.
As we said, some people have waswasa disease. They make it worse. They don’t like Muslims. They do not like what Muslims do. However, Allāh ‘Azza waJalla accepts everything. Ḥāshā, they put themselves in the place of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla and make judgments. Those who follow them will definitely suffer from those bad things. He falls into bad things. His life is also ruined.
As we said, they cause enmity among Muslims. May Allāh ﷻ protect us from their evil. Shayṭān has many evils and many tricks. He won’t come to you clearly like an unbeliever and tell you. He will tell you something that seems as a good deed, but inside that good deed is poison. He kills you with that poison. Your whole life will be ruined. You gain nothing from the harm you inflict. On the contrary, it becomes a burden on you.
For the time you spend, the effort you spend, the water you spend; it is all written in the Presence of Allāh ﷻ. They are written as sins. If you perform normal ablution, do normal ghusl, and perform worship, Allah ﷻ will reward you for every drop of it. There, every drop becomes a sin because you wasted it. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May Allāh ﷻ protect us from the evil of these people. Religion is easiness. The religion of Islam is ease. Don’t listen to anyone who says it’s difficult or this and that. Do as you much as you can. Perform as much as you can.
If they say they don’t like it, say to yourself that you don’t like it either. If they tell you, “Your prayer is not accepted,” say “I didn't like it.” Say, “I didn't like it either. May Allāh ﷻ like it.” Allāh ﷻ likes it. Allāh ﷻ does not look at small, petty things. Allāh ﷻ gives according to a person’s intention. According to that intention, we think goodness of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. People who have waswasa, “Allāh ﷻ will be angry with us. Allāh ﷻ will burn us. Allāh ﷻ will not accept the deeds we do, so we have to do it again.”
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu 'alayhi wa-sallam says, how a person thinks about Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, what he thinks will be. We think that Allāh ﷻ will forgive us. He ﷻ accepts our deeds that we have done with all their flaws. Therefore, there’s no need to worry. There is no need to follow the path that shayṭān wants. May Allāh ﷻ protect us all. Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
