Summer and Winter

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm., "Wa-khalaqa kulla shayʾin fa-qaddarahū taqdīra" (25:2). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm. Allāh ‘Azza waJalla created everything. And Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created everything with wisdom. There is nothing without wisdom. Among creatures, there are good ones, bad ones, clean ones, dirty ones. There are all kinds of things. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created all of them with wisdom. His ﷻ wisdom is with Him ﷻ. He ﷻ also created night and day. He ﷻ created summer and winter. He ﷻ created heat and cold. The Creator is Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. As we said, in everything there is wisdom and benefit for humans. For people who seek that wisdom, there will be both wisdom and benefit.

Now it is hot. Summer time is the time for hot weather. This is normal. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created some countries with permanent summer. In other places, there are seasons. In countries with fewer seasons, by Allāh’s ﷻ wisdom, they are given their livelihood, their food and drinks accordingly. For those in other places, it is hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Mankind complain without understanding the wisdom. They say it is too hot, it is too cold. However, what happens in this season, at its time is beautiful. What happens out of time is not good. If it is cold in summer, it is not considered good. It should be hot in summer. Even if a person feels uncomfortable, it is something that a person needs. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives the heat of summer according to that, and those who are patient endure it. Who are not patient do not benefit from it. They must be patient and give thanks to Allāh ﷻ. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wasallam says when it is hot in Qur’ān ‘Aẓīm, “ ”, "Qul nāru jahannama ashaddu ḥarran" (9:81). The heat of hell is much more intense. Therefore, in this world, the one who is patient will be protected from hell in the hereafter.

Again, these are beneficial for humans. Sometimes the human body needs heat. Then, in the cold, it also needs the cold. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created everything with His ﷻ wisdom in the most beautiful way. We must give thanks for these things that He ﷻ has given. We must be patient with which is not in its time. Last winter, it was not cold. When it is not cold, everything is somewhat different. We also say that this is Allāh’s ﷻ wisdom. We cannot interfere with that. The whole world has advanced technology and everything. Can they do anything about it? No, they can't. They cannot go against Allāh's ﷻ will and the order He ﷻ established.

Therefore, everything happens according to Allāh's ﷻ will. As we said, when it happens at the right time, it is beautiful. When it happens on time, it is beautiful. Things one does when he is young are different. Things one does later are also different. Everything is according to its time, and one must act according to the time. May Allāh ﷻ help us. May Allāh ﷻ bring about good things. May everything be a means for good. May He ﷻ give us the reward of patience, in shā’a Llāh.
