No Obedience to Those Disobeying Him ﷻ

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying,

“A creature is not to be obeyed when it involves disobedience to the Creator.” For us, the creatures of Allah ﷻ, in order to rebel against Allah ﷻ, our Creator, it is wrong to obey the order of another creature and listen to him. If another human calls to go against Allah ﷻ, it is wrong to obey him. It is wrong to obey his order. If you go against Allah ﷻ, you will carry your punishment yourself. Why do you want to take us as well with you to hell? If you want to go, you are free.

Allah ﷻ has given willpower to everyone. He ﷻ told them what they should do. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has shown the right and the bad ways. Therefore, be with those who are on the right way. Don’t be cheated by those who are on the bad way and call you there. Don’t believe them and don’t follow them. Follow the way of Allah ﷻ. Because people going on the bad way have a bad end. They don’t have goodness in this world. Even though it looks like they have goodness, that is deception. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives opportunities to them, and people think they earned some things. No, He ﷻ is giving opportunities for them to carry more punishment in Akhirah.

As we said, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave willpower to people. You must use that willpower with the wisdom of Allah ﷻ. Everything has the wisdom of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. And people may go as they like. There are two ways. One is the right way, and the other is the bad way. There is the way which is not right, with no benefit but harm to people. What is that way? It is the way of rebellion against Allah ﷻ.

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying if someone orders you to drink alcohol, steal something, do adultery; don’t be cheated by him. Don’t obey him. Don’t go after him. This is the order and advice of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. It is the word of our Holy Prophet ﷺ who came with goodness and mercy to people, who tells the best of goodness.

Therefore, follow him ﷺ. Don’t follow shaytan. Shaytan orders badness. Who obeys him will never be successful. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ protect us from the evil of shaytan and the evil of those who order badness. May Allah ﷻ not let us be cheated by them.
