How to End Fear

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 16:128). ‘Inna Llāha ma‘a lladhīna it-taqaw wa lladhīna hum muḥsinūn’, ‘Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good.’ Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is with those who fear Him ﷻ and do goodness. There is no one to be afraid of apart from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. To have the fear of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla means to do what He ﷻ wants. Because when you do what He ﷻ doesn’t want, you are unlucky. Even if your works look well, your work of Akhirah is on hold. You are written sins. Therefore, fearing Allah ﷻ is necessary for Mu’mins.

Very few people fear Allah ﷻ in this time. What happens when they don’t fear Allah ﷻ? When they don’t fear Allah ﷻ, people fear everything else. They are afraid of things that shouldn’t be feared. But they are not afraid of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla who should be feared and which is ordered. They act cool saying “We don’t know Him ﷻ.” When they do so, they are afraid of everything. They are not sure about anything. They are not pleased with anything because of the worry of what happened and what will happen. When it is so, their submission is gone. Nothing secures them from their fears. Nothing can save them from their fears.

Many people of this time, because of their fears, some people don’t leave home, some people don’t know what to do; whereas the solution is put in front of them by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Be afraid of Allah ﷻ. If you are afraid of Allah ﷻ, you won’t be afraid of anyone else. You won’t be afraid of anyone and you won’t be afraid of anything. “This man will do this to me. This thing will be a trouble for me. Where will I go? It will be a test.” And this and that. You won’t be afraid of any of these, as you will know that what Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla wants happens. Otherwise, before even stepping out of their homes, they start to be afraid. They are afraid in their homes. They have fear in every step they make.

Therefore, be with Allah ﷻ. Who is with Allah ﷻ doesn’t have fear., ‘Inna Llāha ma‘a lladhīna it-taqaw’, ‘Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him.’ (Qur’ān 16:128). Allah ﷻ is with those who fear Him ﷻ, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Why would you be afraid when Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is with you? There is nothing to fear anymore. May Allah ﷻ make us among those who fear Him ﷻ so that we know and don’t make mistakes, don’t have faults and don’t commit sins insha’Allah.
