The Beautiful Worship of Hajj
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim:
“Wa li-Llahi ‘ala n-Nasi Ĥijju Al-Bayti Mani Astaţā`a 'Ilayhi Sabīlā”, “And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way.” (Qur’an 03:97). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm. To carry out the orders of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla everyone may do as he likes. What is the order of Allah ﷻ? It is prayer, Hajj, Zakah. They must do all of them and what is Fard as much as they can. For Hajj, sometimes it requires good health and money. Same with Zakah. They are like that. Also fasting; who has good health may fast. Who doesn’t may give money instead. But there is no skipping of prayer. It is Fard to do pray. Not praying is a sin. Unless they make it up as Qada’, it remains to Akhirah. And they will do it with more hardship in Akhirah. But in this world, as we said, you must do what should be done. There is nothing like you must do or not do it.
Sometimes they are forbidding it. The sin is on those who forbid it. People must still do what is Fard as much as they can. If they don’t, the sin and punishment are on those who prevent it. The punishment is for those who don’t open the way and don’t let people do it. But praying as we said is Fard even in bed by moving eyes. No one can prevent it. No one can stop it. If you couldn’t pray during the day, you can pray at night. If you are sick, you can make Tayammum and perform your prayer, because it is from wherever you are. But the matter of Hajj, there may be no opportunity if the ways are closed. Therefore, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “Mani Astaţā`a 'Ilayhi Sabīlā”, “For whoever is able to find thereto a way.” (Qur’an 03:97). It is Fard to those who can reach.
The situation in this world is as such that for every Muslim Hajj is always difficult. And the hardship of the present time is the limitation of it, that very few people go there. That is an obstacle. That is an evil obstacle. Who cannot do it is not responsible for it. Responsible are those who prevent it.
Insha’Allah there is a month until Hajj. Hajjis will probably start going now. May Allah ﷻ bless it for those who are able to go. And may He ﷻ let those who haven’t done it do this beautiful worship insha’Allah. Because Hajj is not only going there and making Tawaf, it is the means for all committed sins to be forgiven.
Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says people who perform Hajj must not leave unresolved rights around them. There is this as well. They must ask for people’s forgiveness if they oppressed anyone and had something against someone, they must make amends. Those who do this come absolutely clean as if just born. They come without a sin. May Allah ﷻ make them successful. May He ﷻ open the way for those who haven’t gone yet. May He ﷻ let them become Hajji.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
There are recited Qur’an Khatms, Yasins, Ayat and Surahs, Tasbihat, Tahlilat, Salawat, Khatms of Dala’il al-Khayrat. Whatever else is recited by our brothers from all over the world by the morning of this beautiful day, may Allah ﷻ accept them. We gift them firstly to our Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, his Ahlu l-Bat, Sahabahs, souls of all Anbiya, Awliya, Asfiya and Mashayikh, souls of all Mu’mins and Muslims. For goodness to come and evil to be gone. May all good goals of those who recited be reached.
Li-Llahi Ta’ala l-Fatiha.
