Keep a Clean Heart

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. “ ( 87 ) ”, “Wa min ābāihim wa dhurriyyātihim wa-ikhwānihim wajtabaynāhum wa hadaynāhum ilā ṣirāṭin mustaqīm. Dhālika hudā Llāhi yahdī bihī man yashāu min ʿibādihī wa law ashrakū laḥabiṭa ʿanhum mā kānū yaʿmalūn”, “And [some] among their fathers and their descendants and their brothers - and We chose them and We guided them to a straight path. (87) That is the guidance of Allah by which He guides whomever He wills of His servants. But if they had associated others with Allah, then worthless for them would be whatever they were doing.” (06:87,88). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, this way is the way of Prophets. It is a favor from Allāh ﷻ to people. Everyone should benefit from that favor. The fathers, their sons, their brothers, their descendants, all of them will be blessed by Allāh ﷻ when they follow this way. Until when? Until they rebel against Allāh ﷻ, disbelieve in Allāh ﷻ, or commit shirk, they are all safe and in the grace of Allāh ﷻ.

This way is the way of our Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, the Prophets before him, and the Righteous ones. That way will remain with the Awliyā’ and mashāyikh of the ummah until the end. When the Day of Judgment approaches, they will pass away. After that, kufr remains. Therefore, in order to be safe from that, we are in the end times, we must be steadfast on this way.

Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, today is the tenth anniversary of Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim. His Himmah (support) and Barakah are present and upon us. A protector, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ. His greatest service to us and ours to Him, is to be together: families, children, Muslims are brothers - to be together and to continue on the way. Of course every now and then, shaytan causes fitnah and disputes among people but forgiveness - Humans are always sinners anyway. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla forgives the sin after repenting. You should not leave anything in your heart. You must always not have a stained heart towards a Muslim, towards your Muslim brother. It must be clean and pure. What ṭarīqah teaches anyways is to crush one’s ego, to control one’s ego. To follow one’s ego causes harm to both himself and his spirituality.

Therefore, a person’s heart must be clean. No matter what anyone else says, you will see it as good. You will not think badly. If you think badly, it will become a burden to you. Maybe the other person actually said it to you as a bad thing. But if you look at that evil as evil and it breaks your heart, it becomes a burden to you. A while later, something else happens. Your ego gets used to it, “This man did this to me, this man did that to me”, and your heart is filled with darkness over and over again. There is no benefit in that darkness. It does harm, not benefit.

Therefore, this occasion is Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim’s. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim is with us evey day. We do not consider him to have left us. We feel that we’re together. There is no longing, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ. Because missing him means he is far away from you. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ he is always with us, but this also as an occasion shows us how the days pass. Ten years ago, just like today, this place was filled with crying and whining. Now, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, as he is with us, there is no such thing. Perpetual peace, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ. The hearts of those who are with them are at peace. There is never any sadness. Because he is with Allāh ﷻ, Allāh ﷻ is with him. Allāh ﷻ is Hayy (Alive) and Da’im (Everlasting). His ﷻ awliyā’ also have the attribute of Hayy because they are with Him ﷻ, Shukr to Allāh ﷻ.

Therefore, do not think that the Shaykh will be pleased when there is darkness in your heart. You must clean that darkness. If you didn’t, your Shaykh will make Dua in the Court of Allah ﷻ, in the Presence of Allah ﷻ, so

that he removes that darkness from your heart. Don’t be pleased with your state. Until this state is removed, never be pleased. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, the mashāyikh do that also. The power of the mashāyikh is great. May Allah ﷻ not separate us from their way. May Allāh ﷻ be pleased with all of you.

Mā shā’a Llāh with the barakah of our Shaykh, there are many people who came to this way and entered this way. In shā’a Llāh the Sahib comes and we submit to him. We all together submit to him so that the way will be one and there will be no separation. Anyways, that separation now is not considered a separation, but the shaytan still puts some things in between. Therefore, in shā’a Llāh the Sahib comes. The whole Islamic world and humanity submit to him, so that the way will be beautiful and more beautiful for everyone. Our request is not just for ourselves, but for all humanity. This is a very big way, a very wide way. Even if there were ten like this world, it would still fit. Even if there were a thousand or a million, this way would still fit. Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, there is nothing for us and for Islam as, “If someone enters this way, there will be no place for me.” May Allah ﷻ be pleased with you all.
