Don’t Leave Prayer for Ākhirah

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:, "Wa jāat sakratu l-mawti bi l-ḥaqqi dhālika mā kunta minhu taḥīd”, “And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!” (Qur’an 50:19).

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in Qur’ān ‘Aẓīmu sh-Shān, when the stupor of death comes to a person, he gets confused. This is what he has been avoiding. There’s nowhere to escape. It is something that will happen to everyone in the end. It is a truth. The biggest truth is death. One has to prepare for it. The biggest preparation is not to leave your prayers and worship for ākhirah. The account in ākhirah is difficult. According to this world’s calculations, for each prayer you will pay for it for 80 years.

Therefore, before this comes, human beings and Muslims should not neglect it. They must be careful. If there is something a person missed, he should try to complete whatever prayers and fasts he has. Of course, one cannot do them all. He will do as much as he can. Allāh ﷻ gives the rest according to the intention of the person, in shā'a Llāh.

Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, when a person borrows a loan from someone, Allāh ﷻ makes it easy if his intention is to repay it. That debt is paid. But if he decides to take the debt, like most people do today, and say that he will either pay or not pay, then it will not be paid. And this is the same. Prayer is the same. If you say, “I will perform it and make up for it”, with the permission of Allāh ﷻ, you can do it and finish it. If you are a true, sincere person and you try to do it, but you pass away to ākhirah without being able to do it, then Allāh ﷻ will forgive you according to your intention, in shā’a Llāh. Death is something that everyone will taste. Arabs have a saying about prayer, to make them be in fear if one did something: “Jā’aka l-mawt yā tāriqa ṣ-ṣalāh.” O who has abandoned prayer, death has come to you. It is such a thing that the person who has no compensation for it is destroyed. They say that if someone is caught red-handed or something happens. So they say those things with different meanings without knowing its greatness, but the main meaning is that we should not leave with a debt of prayers, may Allāh ﷻ protect us. It is the most dangerous thing. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ guide people. May they know the valuable things, and not look at worthless things.
