Appreciate These Valuable Months

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Today is last Friday of Sha’ban. It is a blessed day. Two of the three holy months are almost over. And insha’Allah Ramadan is coming. Ramadan is a blessed month.

Days are passing, but people are heedless. They tell to get ready for Ramadan. Mu’mins must always be ready. All his life must be on the way of Allah ﷻ. Some months are more beautiful. Certainly, those who know their value know it. Who don’t know kill their days and waste them for nothing. They say “What should we do?” It is never too late to repent. If people repent, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla will forgive their sins for the honor of this beautiful month. He ﷻ will change their sins to Thawab. When they repent for the sins they’ve done, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla turns them into Thawab.

This is the true promise of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla written in Qur’an as well. Qur’an is the eternal word of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Same with the Hadith Sharif of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. In order for people not to say “We were oppressed”, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives them various tests. He ﷻ says, ‘Wa Lā Tattabi`ū

Khuţuwāti Ash-Shayţān’, ‘And do not follow the footsteps of Satan.’ (Qur’ān 02:168). “Don’t go after shaytan.” He ﷻ says, “Beware of going after him. Leave shaytan.” Yet, people keep on doing the same. And then they complain, “How did this happen?”

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given willpower to people. As long as they want, they can use their willpower and leave their egos. But they use their willpower not against their egos but against Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Willpower means capturing your ego, controlling your ego. Everyone has willpower. But only few use it. Many people don’t use it. Many people obey their egos and perish.

These are the blessed days and blessed months. Next month is the month of mercy and beauty, the month of forgiveness Shukr to Allah ﷻ. Ramadan Sharif is a precious month. Those who appreciate it will be in profit. Who don’t appreciate it will throw it away. As a worldly representation, there is the most expensive diamond in the world in the hands of the Ottomans. The person who found it, found it in the garbage dump. He didn’t know its value. He was given a wooden spoon in return for it. It is the same with us. People who don’t know the value don’t show importance to such precious things and miss them. That man regretted it in this world. But regretting in Akhirah is a useless regret. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ make us from those who appreciate these days and months. May He ﷻ bless it for us insha’Allah.
