Whatever Allah ﷻ Decrees is Best
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
A‘ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
‘Wa `Asá 'An Takrahū Shay'āan Wa Huwa Khayrun Lakum’, ‘But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you.’ (Qur’ān 02:216). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Allah ‘Azza waJalla is saying in Qur’an ‘Azimu sh-Shan, “You don’t like some things, you think they are bad for you, but there is goodness in that. And you think some things are good, but they are evil.”
Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla does what He ﷻ wants, not what people want. Therefore, we must know there is goodness in everything that happens. Sometimes you are in a situation you don’t like at all. Yourself, or your family, in this world or your country; wherever it is, it may seem like evil. But there is goodness in it.
Therefore, we must not object to things destined by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. If you assess it with your mind, everything will go wrong. Because most of the time, Allah ﷻ means goodness for you, as we said, but something comes your way and becomes an obstacle for you. And while you are saying, “Why do I have this obstacle?” you are saved from a big disaster on the other hand. You are saved from a big catastrophe with something small.
Therefore, relying on Allah ﷻ is the attribute of the believer. It is the attribute of people with Iman, the attribute of the people of Tariqah. Muslimhood consists of ranks. Everyone becomes Muslim when they make Shahadah. Whatever they do, as long as they don’t go out of the religion, they are Muslim. But their Iman is in ranks then. There are ranks of Iman after Islam. “Ad’afu l-Iman” means the weakest Iman. There are people with the weakest Iman. And there are people with the highest Iman.
So there’s nothing as, “I am Muslim, everything will be the way I want it to be. I cannot not accept anything.” Those with weak Iman object and rebel. But they only oppress themselves, of course. Those with Iman rely on Allah ﷻ. They must say, “Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla wants it this way, so there is goodness in it,” and believe in that. Nothing goes in vain for believers in everything that happens in this life. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, the condition of a believer is rewarding in goodness, badness and hardship as long as he has Iman. We must believe in that. We must not rebel. Every situation in this world is like this.
‘Awliya tell about these situations with beautiful words. Yunus said, “Mevla’m görelim neyler, Neylerse güzel eyler”, “Let’s see what God does. Whatever He ﷻ does He ﷻ does it best.” This is a very beautiful saying. It is important for believers. They must keep it in their minds and hearts. There is goodness in everything. Don’t be sad for this and that happening in this world. Don’t be sad for whoever won or lost. The winner is the believer. Therefore, may Allah ﷻ give strength to our Iman insha’Allah. May we not have weak Iman insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
