To Each Heart a Flow
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Al-ḥamdu liLlāh we are gathering for the love of Allāh ﷻ, with ṭarīqah Naqshbandiyyah, Qādiriyyah, Dusuqiyyah, Chāziliyyah. All ṭarīqah are the same. Al-ḥamdu liLlāh, ‘Innama l-mu’minūna ikhwa’, ‘The believers are but brothers.’ (Qur’ān 49:10).
Allāh Azza wa Jalla created each person with a different character, personality. For this, Allāh ﷻ gave everyone what is suitable for him. As He ﷻ is saying in Qur’ān, we create you from ādam and ḥawwā to [get to] know each other, the best one for Allāh ﷻ is he who is afraid from Allāh ﷻ; ṣaḥibu t-taqwa (one having piety). (Qur’ān 49:13).
For this, to be in a different ṭarīqah is also Rahmah (mercy) from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. As the Madhhab also. The four Madhhabs are also mercy, Rahmah from Allāh ﷻ to the believer, Mu’min, Muslim: to choose what it is suitable for him.
For this, ṭarīqah is also the same. Mawlānā Shaykh Nāẓim used to say – Some people go to other ṭarīqah, so they call them to come to our ṭarīqah [saying] “We are better.” Mawlānā Shaykh and anyone from the mashāyikh never want this. What Allāh ﷻ gave to their heart, he [Mawlānā] was saying, wherever their is heart flowing to, to whichever side, they will accept it. They must accept this. But if their heart is not going there, there’s no need. Whichever one comes to their heart, they must look at this. The ṭarīqah is like this. You cannot force [it]. When Allāh Azza wa Jalla puts this in the heart, “You will follow this Shaykh, this ṭarīqah”, they will follow. There’s no need to look at them. When you look like this in ṭarīqah it means as if you are looking at woman that’s not for you. It is like this in ṭarīqah. But when Allāh ﷻ opens his heart for him to go to this ṭarīqah, nobody [must] blame him. He will be there. This is also from the will of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, not from you.
For this, when Mawlānā Shaykh was alive, people were coming through him; many, thousands of people. Even, we had been traveling too much with Mawlānā, we saw this many times. First travel, we travelled to Uzbekistan. In that place, many Russian people came to take Shahādah when seeing Mawlānā. So they were ready to follow. Once also we had been in Tokyo, Japan. They built one mosque. Tatar people owned this [mosque] and Turkish people rebuilt it. It was a nice mosque. They invited us with Mawlānā to see this. So we have been there. It was nice of course. And the Japanese people were interested in this nice mosque. They were seeing [something] they’ve never seen maybe. That night, in only half an hour, six Japanese people came and made shahādah. And this is from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He [Mawlānā] was not calling them. We don’t even know how Allāh ﷻ sent them. We didn’t even see them until they came there. They suddenly came and nobody told them, “Come, take shahādah, take this.” No. This is a karāmah from awliyā’u Llāh. Maybe Allāh ﷻ made all this trip, going thousands of kilometers away to make these people be in Islam.
This is the ṭarīqah Adab, good behavior. The first thing for ṭarīqah is to teach Adab, good behavior, to be a good person, to be a good human being. This is ṭarīqah. Who doesn’t like ṭarīqah? Which one? Who is the first one who hates Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, hates Islām, hates ṭarīqah the most? Who is this? Shayṭān. Shayṭān likes neither Adab, nor Ḥayāʾ (shyness), nor anything from good behavior. This is shayṭān. When you imitate him, not respect Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, not respect awliyā’u Llāh, not respect Ahlu l-Bayt, not respect Ṣaḥābah, whom are you with? Are you with the Prophet ﷺ or are you with this creature, ugly creature?
We must know this. We are here in this place; here or in another place also. In many Muslim countries or non-Muslim countries, this illness is coming: to be arrogant, no good behaviour, no Adab, no respect. With this, they are destroying Islām, Muslimīn. Islām cannot be destroyed. Once there was a very good news writer, who writes in the newspaper, Journalist. Mawlānā used to love him, this one. He was very clever. He said, “Islām can now appear [everywhere] and the whole world can become in Islām, there is only one thing preventing the whole world from becoming in Islām.” What is this? He said, “Muslimīn. Islām is different, Muslim is different.” Because they are only [Muslim] by name. They are following Islām but only by name, not [actually] following. For this, when people are looking into Islām, looking, reading, [they are thinking], “Oh this is a very good system. It is very good for human beings.” But when they are going and
looking at Muslims, what are Muslims doing? They are cheating, they have no Adab, they are stealing, they are bribing – what is Rashwah? Taking bribes.
Especially Muslims: they thought smoking or taking drugs is halal. This is very bad also. We are here also for this good [man], RahmatuLlah ‘alayhi, Hanif, RahmatuLlah ‘alayhi. We will read Fatihah for him in shā’a Llāh [Mawlana reads Fatihah]. With this, they are doing – they thought only alcohol is harām. “You can [smoke] weed, you can take drugs, anything, it is ḥalāl.” Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is saying, “Ma ‘āskara kathīruhu fa-qalīluhu ḥarām”, “If a large amount of anything causes intoxication, a small amount of it is prohibited.” [Hadith] If something makes you drunk, small, big, a lot or a little, all ḥarām. The shayṭān is especially putting this between Muslims to destroy them more and more.
For this, when people are seeing Muslims, they run away from Islam also. If they are like the time of the Sahabah or Khulafa ar-Rashideen (Rightly Guided Caliphs) or before, even a hundred years ago, when Muslims were totally different from now. There was nothing like this. Even before 50 years, it was 100% different from now. Now it is getting worse and worse, worse and worse. And people do not accept Nasīḥah. They totally closed their ears. As Sayyidinā Nūḥ was saying, they put their clothes on their heads and close their ears to not hear, to not see. This is what they are doing. Now it is like this. May Allāh ﷻ help us.
For this, it is important for the family to bring them or to be careful for their children, their grandchildren. To bring them for majlis, ṭarīqah majlis, Dhikr majlis, Nasīḥah majlis. You must bring them, to teach them; not leave them. Now really, they say in the system of teaching, “Leave him to what he wants to do, he must do by himself.” When you leave him by himself, he will go after his ego. He cannot be looking for the good thing; he will be looking for what his ego wants. Maybe he is happy, more happy to be out at night time with a friend, going here, there. In the end, he will be in some trap. And the mother comes, “Oh, my son is drinking. He is doing this, doing that.” Why didn’t you, from the beginning, teach them not to go out of the house [at night]? Mawlānā Shaykh never liked for us to be out of the house after Maghrib. After Maghrib, he said that shayātīn of jinn are going around. Of course, for this also the jinn make many people to be like crazy.
For this, we are – everything, Islām, ṭarīqah is teaching the good thing for people. Not giving them harm, but giving them the good things to save them and to make them happy here and hereafter. But shayṭān, as Allāh Azza wa Jalla said
in the Qur’ān, he wants for you to be poor, to be unhappy and to be in Jahannam. This is what the shayṭān wants. Allāh Azza wa Jalla wants for you happiness here and hereafter and Jannah in the end.
Every day we are saying, this is very bad, really, maybe the worst time since ‘Adam ‘alayhi s-salām is this time. Because maybe many nations were bad before; but they were bad in one place and in other places there were good people. Allāh ﷻ curses only the bad people and punishes them in dunyā. But now everywhere, no place is safe neither the holy place, nor the unholy place. All of them are the same; no difference at all. We are asking Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla to send the Sahib for us in shā’a Llāh.
Because what we see is bombing, killing people. This is [only] what we see. Even yesterday, one of our murīd’s whole family was Shahīd in Gaza. But what’s more [dangerous] than this, is they are poisoning them. From what they are throwing, they become shahīd. They are shahīd for the ummah, for the benefit of the ummah. All these shahīd, Allāh ﷻ will reward them. And the shahīd, Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was saying, when he becomes shahīd, it is only like putting some needle on him [a pinch]. He doesn’t feel any pain or so. He wants to come to be a shahīd a thousand times [again]. This is what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was saying. So al-ḥamdu liLlāh these people are in the highest place. And for those who read for them also, they will also make shafā’at (intercession) for them in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ bless them.
But what we were saying is that with what they are poisoning these people, they are worse than these bombs. They are giving this poison for young Muslim children: East and West, North and South, everywhere. In Muslim countries and non-Muslim countries. This is a terrible, terrible thing. May Allāh ﷻ save us. May Allāh ﷻ send us the Sahib Mahdi to save this. We are day and night, praying to Allāh ﷻ to keep the children of Muslims safe from this shayāṭīn, from this poison, their poison. May Allāh ﷻ poison those who poison them in shā‘a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ give them hidāyah (guidance). We are also saying, may Allāh ﷻ open their hearts to come to ṭarīqah, come to Adab, come to respect, come to happiness in shā’a Llāh. This is our prayer day and night.
And we also pray - Mawlānā Shaykh was saying, pray for Sayyidinā Al-Mahdī to come. Because this time is really the top (peak) of every bad thing. So when it is reaching its highest, it must be coming down after that. In shā’a Llāh Mahdī ‘alayhi s-salām comes and takes them down in shā’aLlāh. May Allāh ﷻ save us, and keep us safe from this dunyā, balā’ (affliction) and save us from A’ẓābu l-ākhirah (the torment of the hereafter) in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ bless you.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
