Forgiveness is Always Best
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
(Qur’ān 03:134). ‘Wa l-kādhimīna l-ghaydha wa l-‘āfīna ‘ani n-nās wa Llāhu yuḥibbu l-muḥsinīn’, ‘And who restrain anger and who pardon the people - and Allah loves the doers of good.’ Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla loves people who control their anger, who forgive and show kindness to those who make mistakes to them. These are the people beloved by Allah ﷻ.
It is easy to say when we talk about it. But when it comes to applying this in life, it is not easy. It is something difficult. When someone does badness to you, controlling and capturing your anger is something many people cannot do. Especially when they are weaker than you and they treat you badly, when you are capable of overcoming them easily. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla loves those who don’t obey their egos and forgive them, people who forgive and show kindness. It is not easy to do this. And as it is not easy, there is more virtue and more pleasure of Allah ﷻ.
Mankind obeys his ego every moment, of course. But Muslims and Mu’mins must think through this and go on this way. When they have some badness, they should say “My ego deserves it” and forgive them. They should forgive them saying “This is even little for us”. And then if they have something, they should give it.
Being oppressed is better than being an oppressor. It is better to be taken your right than taking someone’s right. Because the right is a tough matter on Judgment day. Paying back someone’s right while we are living in this world, or forgiving the right taken away from you is a great virtue. Many people think they are right, but they may be wrong. Therefore, instead of thinking so and regretting it later, it is better for you when you forgive even if your right is taken away. It will be hard on your ego, but it will be good for you.
May Allah ﷻ help us do these things. May Allah ﷻ help us, because it is not an easy task. It is not easy to be oppressed knowingly and to bear this oppression even though you have power. However, it is a great virtue to forgive them in any case. May Allah ﷻ help us. May we not oppress anyone, and may we not take anyone’s right insha’Allah.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
