The World of Interests

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

We always make Shukr to Allah ﷻ. May our Shukr to Allah ﷻ be perpetual for the favors and beauties He ﷻ gives. The things given by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla are beautiful. To those who accept and appreciate them, everything given by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is beautiful. People who go on the way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla are always in profit. They are valuable. They have a great worth.

However, mankind nowadays, especially people of this time don’t know this. What they know is wherever there is personal benefit, they go after it whenever they think about something. There are all kinds personal interests. They call it the world of interests. It has become “The world of interests” in full meaning. They don’t know the true interest and benefit. They are cheated by the benefits of this deceitful world. And they cannot profit from it, because all people are after personal interest. And as they can’t get any profit from people, they don’t want to only give. Certainly, they want something in return.

Who are those who don’t want anything in return? Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says in Qur’an ‘Azimu sh-Shan, “ ’, ‘Qul Lā 'As'alukum `Alayhi 'Ajrāan, ‘Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not ask you for this message any payment.” (Qur’ān 42:23). They are the Prophets. They give advice and show the right way to people without expecting any benefit. They are providing goodness. And they don’t ask for anything in return. They say Allah ﷻ will reward them. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives them their rewards, so they expect it from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

It was like this before as well, but nowadays people think about personal interest not only 100% but a million percent. Wherever you look, it is like this. Be it here, or anywhere else, be it Muslim, or non-Muslim, atheists and all; all of them are put in single mold. What is that mold? They are after personal interest. They are making all people run after not only benefit but also harm. Because they steal the

most precious thing of mankind. They promise to give the most worthless thing, and they cannot provide it. Even if they give it, there is no benefit but harm.

The most precious thing for people is their life and time. Instead of spending that time for Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, they are running after useless things. They are still running. There is a lot of things everyone goes through. We also had many occasions like this since our childhood. During the time of our father, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, some man told us he’d help us with the residence permit. We were living in Damascus then. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said ok. While he was telling us he’d do it now and then, our time was overdue, and we were stopped at the border.

[…] Egypt is full of his ﷺ grandchildren. Their Barakah is perpetual in those places. As our Holy Prophet ﷺ is the most beloved servant of Allah ﷻ, there is the Barakah of his ﷺ Ahlu l-Bayt for people wherever they are.

Shukr to Allah ﷻ, they show respect. Masha’Allah there are so many Sultans there, it takes a year to visit all of them with due respect and Adab. We made a short trip of 8-10 days far until the South; visiting the Imam of the Shadhili Tariqah, Sayyidina Abu al-Hasan al-Shadhili. He wanted to seclude himself so far that no one comes there. It is a very long journey. Yet, people who love these Sultans always go to visit him and don’t leave him alone. It is an extraordinary place there. There is not even a well. If you want water, there is no well to extract water from. There was a well from his Karamah, but that was enough only for himself. Even though there is no water now, there is a big village and there are cities around him. They ask for his Barakah, and they get his Barakah.

On the other side as well, wherever we went to visit the holy ones and Sultans out of respect, Shukr to Allah ﷻ, there isn’t this group that newly appeared which doesn’t show respect to our Holy Prophet ﷺ, his ﷺ Ahlu l-Bayt, scholars and Awliya’. All of them show love and respect, they make Ziyarah. There are also Maqams of Sahabahs. Some have graves, and some have Maqams there. All of them are visited.

There is place where Abu al-Hajjaj built a mosque inside the temple of Pharaoh. And his tomb is also there. The Kafirs and English people said it was wrong. They wanted to remove the mosque and his Maqam. Certainly, they could not do anything as usual, they could not even remove a stone. Shukr to Allah ﷻ, we were destined to visit it.

AlhamduliLlah as we said, there are many places for Ziyarah. There are great Qutubs, Sayyidina Ahmad al-Badawi, Sayyidina Ibrahim al-Dasuqi, Sayyidina Ibn ‘Ata’ Allah al-Sakandari, Yaqut al-‘Arsh. These holy ones are great Qutubs, great Imams; Sayyidina Imam al-Sha’rani, Sayyidina Imam Shafi’i. And as Ahlu l-Bayt, all of them are on the street called “The Street of Ahlu l-Bayt”. They have renovated it. And people are able to see and visit them easily.

They bring benefit to us. They are not dead. Dead are people we run after for worldly benefit. They run after people for days, months and hours asking to do this or that for them. No one can bring you benefit anymore in this world. No one can bring any benefit to anyone. As we said, that is not benefit. Don’t think you profit from something when you get it. It is not benefit but harm. May Allah ﷻ protect us.

This world is full of hypocrites and Kafirs. This situation is not good. To whom is it not good? To those who expect personal interest. For Muslims, everything is good, as we said. We make Shukr to Allah ﷻ for everything. Allah ﷻ is with us. This is the greatest thing. As long as Allah ﷻ is with us, we care about neither America, nor Africa, nor Europe.

“They have harmed us. They didn’t accept us. We’ve been waiting at their doors for a hundred years.” You’ve been waiting for a hundred years out of your stupidity, nothing else. If you are not stupid, you will rely on Allah ﷻ and they will run after you. As Mawlana Shaykh Nazim used to respond when they said, “We want to join Europe. We want to join America”, “if you say “We don’t want them”, look how they will run after you.” We’ve gone into politics now. But politics has got into people’s blood already. Why? Because people think if they enter Europe, they will enter paradise, whereas there is nothing like that. Allah ﷻ is Ar-Razzaq, He ﷻ gives Rizq everywhere.

You see poor people. Every night they show someone had drowned in the sea, another one is placed in a camp, someone is lying on the ground, another is sent away beaten. Whereas if you put that effort in your country instead of going through such suffering, you will live in more comfort, and it will be much better for you.

What is Europe? What is America? They are nothing. They take you in as slaves. In old times, Kafirs went to Africa and took poor Africans. Most of them were Muslims, poor ones taken from Senegal. They put them on ships and brought them to America. There were no such markets in Europe. They were embarrassed

of taking slaves as they saw themselves as civilized. They took them from Africa to America. Half of them would die on the way, and the rest would reach there. But going through the torment and harm, 20% stayed alive. Black Americans have derived from them.

They used to take them with harm. Step by step, Muslims were not allowed to either pray or fast. And they didn’t let those who studied teach Islam. Gradually, they brought up their children either without the religion, or as non-Muslim. They were taken by force and were sold.

I get astonished now and look at the work of Allah ﷻ, as people nowadays risk their lives in order to go there. Half of them die in the sea by drowning, and half of them are mistreated and abused in the hands of those bandits while they go. And when they reach there, they are treated like dogs. No, not even like dogs; dogs are very much treated incredibly now. Everyone is serving dogs, and they are like crowns on people’s heads. They are not like dogs, dogs are well off now, as we said. They are treated like mice, we can say. Dogs are very precious now. People are in service to them from morning to night waiting for their wishes. They are doing everything from feeding to washing them. But these people are going to such a worthless place that instead of living comfortably in their own countries, they are accepting themselves to be worse than slaves. They are going through this torture and go there.

We ask that Allah ﷻ gives mind and understanding, not anything else. Those who are pleased with what is given by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, Allah ﷻ is pleased with them. Because Allah ﷻ gives everyone’s Rizq. The Rizq given by Allah ﷻ comes to you wherever you are. When your Rizq is over, you may have the whole world, you won’t be able to take a breath or sip of water. But to whomever we are telling this, everyone has become confused. Why is it so? As we said, because they have forgotten about Allah ﷻ, because they run after different things. Since the whole beginning, they want to go to Europe and America for personal benefit and to do this and that. Eventually, it is clear where they will end up; in a hole. It will be either a hole, or a garden of paradise. May Allah ﷻ protect us.

May Allah ﷻ give mind and understanding. May Allah ﷻ send us the Sahib, because as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim used to say, everything must be changed from A to Z, not only here but everywhere else. The whole world needs this. If only one country changes, that will not be enough. They will go back to the same way later, because there is no chance of leaving this way.

Only when the Sahib comes, a new system will come from Alif to Lam Alif. It will remain pure and clean. Humanity will be in comfort. And people will be relieved. May Allah ﷻ send the Sahib as soon as possible. As we said, Muslims must always make Shukr to Allah ﷻ. Thousands of Shukr to Allah ﷻ, for we are on His ﷻ way. The rest is not important.
