The Heaviest Fitnah

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

“Al-Ladhīna Yastamiūna Al-Qawla Fayattabiūna 'Aĥsanah”, “Who listen to speech and follow the best of it.” (Qur’ān 39:18). Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Allah ‘Azza waJalla is saying, “Those who listen to advice, preach or lessons, who know what is knowledge and listen to it follow the best ones.” They are the accepted servants of Allah ﷻ.

And our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, “Don’t make us from those who speak but don’t do what they tell. We seek refuge in Allah ﷻ from them.” Many people tell to do this and that. But they don’t do anything from it. They get angry at others asking, “Why are you not doing it? You didn’t do this and that.” Whereas they must do so before all.

They say ‘Ulama ‘Amileen. Scholars who act based on their knowledge are accepted ones. There are many people who study for work. They learn to do some work. But together with that work they carry out their duty for this world and for Akhirah. They are from the accepted people then. They are in profit. Otherwise, if they act without learning, it is still better. At least, they will say, “I didn’t know. I could do this much.” But people who know everything and do nothing are cheating themselves first of all. They are cheating others. And no benefit comes from their knowledge. Let alone not having any benefit, but also harm may come, because they may give people ideas out of their heads, ideas which are not true. As they don’t act themselves, they don’t do what they say or there are many people who say things changing them.

We are living in the end of times. There are scholars, but there is no knowledge. Such people are very rare. People who believe in Allah ﷻ must do as much as they know. And when they can’t do, they should say, “We know this much, we cannot do more.” But people who cheat others, take them away from the right way and put doubt in their hearts, or people who mislead others will get punishment for every person they have misled.

To be a scholar is easy, but to act based on knowledge is difficult. If you cannot act with your knowledge, you should say, “We are doing this much. We are telling you, but insha’Allah we will all do that.” They should say, “Let us do what we tell as much as we can.” They shouldn’t make things up out of pride and do nothing.

As we said, there are two types: those who don’t do and those who cheat people by changing things. May Allah ﷻ protect us. This is a Fitnah of the end of times. May Allah ﷻ protect all of us from the Fitnah of the end of times. The biggest Fitnah is the Fitnah of people who are in religion and mislead others. Certainly, there are a hundred thousands of Fitnahs in the end of times. But this is the most dangerous one. To take out of Iman and religion is the worst one. It is the heaviest of all. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ guard us and protect our Iman insha’Allah.
