Beware of What You Say

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

‘Laqad Kāna Lakum Fī Rasūli Llāhi ‘Uswatun Hasana’, ‘There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent example.’ (Qur’ān 33:21). Sadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ is the true way. It is the example for us, so walk on the way of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Do what he ﷺ showed. Do what he ﷺ liked, and don’t do what he ﷺ didn’t like.

The things that he ﷺ liked: he ﷺ loved his ﷺ Ummah and he ﷺ showed the way of Allah ﷻ so that they they reach guidance. Who walk on that way win. Who walk on that way find goodness. Who leave that way don’t get goodness. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ was sent to all people, to all humanity. Muslims must pay more attention to it. As you accept our Holy Prophet ﷺ as the Prophet, you must follow his ﷺ way. It is Fard. Who is not on that way has no Iman. And who has no Iman cannot get any profit.

The way of Allah ﷻ, the way of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is this way. Those who show it after him ﷺ are the Khalifahs, Sahabah, Mashayikh and those who’ve come until today. These people show the way to people. And they show the way to people with Adab like our our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam did. People who show this way must pay attention to themselves. They must be careful with their egos. They must be careful with their speech. Because when you say something, you are responsible for it. If you speak without knowing, you are written a sin.

Making Fatwa is not for everyone. It is forbidden to make Fatwa. Who makes Fatwa must be competent or 100% sure. When he is asked something and he replies with giving Fatwa saying this is good and right as he likes, he is already ruined then. Therefore, as we said, people who advise or people who listen to them must be very careful. They must be careful with what they say and how they act. If they are doubtful about something, they must say they don’t know. Not knowing is better than claiming to know and saying wrong. Say, “I don’t know. I will ask and give you the answer accordingly”. There is no rush, they had waited so much that they can wait again to learn what is right.

People obey their egos and usually tell wrong things and lies thinking, “They will shame me if I don’t know now”. They must be careful with that. And people who listen should ask others if their hearts are not content. They should ask what is true and what the matters are about.

We must be careful. There is responsibility. Those who tell things without knowing and are wrong, or who don’t listen to this advice and do things without knowing have their sins to themselves. May Allah ﷻ protect us from sins. Some things done without realizing are bad even if words. Words must be true words insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ help us. May we all speak the words of truth insha’Allah. May we be on the way of truth insha’Allah.
