Light of Islam

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Our Tariqah is to give Sohbah, to give Naseeha/advice and the Khayr/good that Allah ﷻ wants for people is to be together. We are following our Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam. Insha’Allah we hope to be of benefit for Muslims, for non-Muslims, for human-beings. Who likes to get happiness, we are happy with him.

Those who will be with Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ is happy with them. If Allah ﷻ is not happy with you, you cannot be happy at all. If Allah ﷻ curses somebody – a big example [on that] is shaytan. Allah ﷻ cursed him and he is not happy. Every bad thing is in him. And those who are with him will also be unhappy. What shaytan promises, ‘ ’, ‘Ash-shaytānu ya’idukumu l-faqra wa ya’murukum bil-fahshā’, ‘Satan promises you poverty and commands you to obscenity.’ (Qur’ān 02:268). The shaytan promises people poorness, badness and every ungood thing. This is his mission – to give misery to human beings. He chose this mission by himself. And he knows that it isn’t a good thing, but it is because of his envy. When Allah ﷻ cursed him, this happened to him: becoming envious and becoming against every good thing.

Don’t think that those who are with shaytan will give you something good. Everything they are giving are only bad things. Allah ﷻ promises us happiness, promises us Paradise, promises us all good things. Don’t be cheated by those people who are poisoning you with their idea. Because this idea is not only [found] in one place; they are now controlling the whole world. They can say whatever they like and they can hide the true and good thing.

We are living in the time which the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam called “The Second Age of Ignorance”,. The first one was in the time before the Prophet ﷺ. That time in which the whole world was in the darkness of

Ignorance, and the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam gave light to the whole world. In that time, from the time after the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam, they began to send light to all human beings, from East to West, from North to South. In that time, what the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam was saying was giving value to human beings, to the rights of human beings, to the rights of women and men. It was very unbelievable for the people of that time. Even some of them didn’t accept women as human beings, and didn’t accept slaves as human beings.

Islam spread all of this. They say, “Islam was spread with the sword. They were killing.” Islam was against those people, not against human beings. Islam saved human beings. And this is what happened. They spread the Light of Islam, the Light of Allah ﷻ among people. And millions of people were coming for the Light of Allah ﷻ. And U’lama/scholars and Awliya were showing the right way to people.

But of course, there were as every time people with shaytan, against these [good] people. It must be. Good people mustn’t be with bad people. They mustn’t follow them, but [must] follow good people. And some of the bad ones see [reach] Hidayah/guidance and come to the right way; many of them. We saw many big U’lama/scholars of the knowledge of Dunya that were Muslim. They spread all the civilization in the world. Especially those who are on the right way. You cannot find anyone from those who make Fitnah, big Alim or big scholar, giving benefit to human beings. The secret of this is because Allah ﷻ gave light to the hearts of the good U’lama for them to give this knowledge to people. Each one of them is equal to maybe a hundred professors, or a thousand professors Masha’Allah.

AlhamduliLlah we are on their way, the way of the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam which is the way of Ahlu s-Sunnah wa l-Jama’ah who accept all the Sahabah, accept Ahlu l-Bayt and accept the U’lama and Awliya’uLlah. This is the way of benefit for the Ummah, for human beings. Because some make Fitnah saying, “This Sahabah made this, this Sahabah made that.” You don’t know this. Don’t make bad assumptions about them. ‘ ’, ‘‘Inna ba’da dh-dhanni ‘ithmun’, ‘Indeed, some assumption is sin.’ (Qur’ān 49:12). Which means [making] bad assumptions is a sin; it’s not good. So they are making Fitnah for the next generation. When making Fitnah, it will later be growing and growing and growing, making hatred between Muslims.

So for this, Awliya’uLlah and the U’lama, especially Mawlana Sheikh Nazim was not happy to hear anything about the Fitnah of what happened between Muslims after the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam. He says, “They are lying, we cannot interfere with them.” Don’t interfere with them.

This is a very important point for everybody and for every Muslim – to not interfere in this subject. Say, “We only look at ourselves. We only look at our faults. We ask forgiveness for us.” They are the companions of the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam, you cannot reach to this level. [Talking] after more than 1,400 years, you cannot say what happened yesterday. For this, this is important for everybody – to not interfere. If anybody says something, say: “Please don’t say this. We don’t want to get a sin and for the Prophet salla Llahu a’layhi wa sallam to be unhappy with us.”

May Allah ﷻ keep us away from these Fitan especially Fitan Akhiru zZaman/Fitnahs of the end of times. May Allah ﷻ give us Hidayah/guidance and Tawfeeq/success insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ keep us safe from every badness in this very difficult time insha’Allah.
