The Realization of a Prophecy in This Era
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam’s prophecies are all appearing. His ﷺ prophecies are about after his ﷺ time until qiyāmah, until Jannah and everything. Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was telling us, giving what will happen, what the problems of people are, to be aware of them. One of these prophecies is about imitating other people. Imitating other people who are non-Muslim. The last Islamic state was the Ottoman Empire. In that time, every religion had their customs, what they eat, what they do, how they go and come. Each group of people knew and followed theirs. This was the last state of Islām, the Ottomans. After that, as Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam told us, “In the end of times, you will imitate non-Muslims.” “To an extent that even if they go into a burrow (a rat’s house living under earth, a very tiny place), you will go there,” said Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. This is what we are seeing every where. Everybody is imitating what these crazy ones are giving: what we will wear this year, what we must eat, where we must go and come, which telephone we must buy, which watch we must wear on our hand. It’s okay for this, it causes no problem. But the problem is to be wearing what’s not acceptable in Islām. To leave your customs and follow their customs. Their customs are not good customs. Each country has a specialty. Since hundreds and thousands of years, they have been wearing and eating what’s good for this area. Each area has a different state, you must follow that; then, you won’t face any problem. But if you’re following what’s not suitable for your place, following what’s for another area, it won’t be good for your health, yourself and for everyone.
Now, wherever we go they say - and this is the worst thing - “Globalization.” Everywhere we go, you find the same things. Many people have jobs holding tradition; like making clothes or so. All of these are now finished. People are all doing the same thing; not seeing anything else. We know everything by heart now. They are making people only think, “How can I get this to wear it? How can I go eat from that unhealthy food?” What do they call it? Garbage food? Junk food. Garbage food. They are not eating from what their mother is cooking with the same tradition. They are all looking for the other. This must be bad because Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created different things; not only bread or only rice. Maybe rice is good for this area. It’s also good for our area. But you cannot eat rice every day because you make it like bread. But in our area, you must put
meat or fat with it. So for us, it is a main dish. Not like you; you eat it aside like bread. So it’s good for this area. Once, we were going on a train with Mawlānā Shaykh in Malaysia. We were going to a place, three hours from Jakarta. It was full of rice fields, and there were farmers there. They were very thin. Mawlānā Shaykh said, “Look at these people. One handful of rice is enough for them in a day.” So Allāh ﷻ has given them to make everything from this one handful of rice to live and feed their family and children. If you make them eat hamburgers day and night, they wouldn’t be able to move.
So you mustn’t look at what others want. You must look at what Allāh ﷻ wants, what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam wants. Allāh ﷻ and Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wasallam want to give you the best, to do what you are in need of. Not what others are in need of to fill their pockets. Before, they were coming and taking everything from here. Now without even coming, everyone has become a slave for them. Before, the Europeans were catching people making them slaves. Millions and billions went to America and South America. They caught them and took them by force. They didn’t let them run away. Now, these people throw themselves in the sea. Half of them sink in the sea. And the other half reach Europe or America where they get tortured and become worse than slaves. The slaves were in a better state than those people now. Now, they say by themselves, “Take me, I am a slave for you, take me.” SubhanAllah, Allāh ﷻ is not happy with those doing so. They think these people are higher than them. But Allāh ﷻ says, no one is higher. The highest one is only who obeys Allāh ﷻ and fears Allāh ﷻ. Not the American, African, Indian, European. They are not. They don’t have four legs or two noses. Everybody is the same. Allāh ﷻ created all of mankind the same. The (most) strangest thing is that if you look at the map, you find that Allāh ﷻ has given the best land for Muslims. There are other places but mainly the land where Islām and Muslims are living is the best place in the world. The richest place in the world also. The place where one can live his whole life without problems. But when people are not listening to Allāh ﷻ, are forgetting Allāh ﷻ and forgetting ākhirah, for the three-day-dunyā, they are leaving everything and going to places where they don’t know what will be there for them, for their children and for others.
Many times, Mawlānā Shaykh used to tell this story. Sayyidinā Isa was traveling. In old times, there were holy people living in a cave or a tent. So once, he was going and he saw one man worshiping Allāh ﷻ. He has a tent or something half shaded to be safe from rain. He asked him, “For how many years have you been here?” He said, “700 years.” In old times, they used to live so long because Allāh ﷻ had given them that. Many had short lives, like now also: 30 or 40 years. But some of them had long lives. This man was living there and Sayyidinā Isa ‘alayhi s-salām asked him for how many years, he said 700 years. He asked him, “For 700 years you’ve been under this?” He said, “Yes.” Sayyidinā Isa ‘alayhi s-salām said, “Why didn’t you make it a little bit bigger to be more relaxed, isn’t it
too difficult for you?” He said, “No need for this. We’re not here forever.” Sayyidinā Isa said, “You know, in the end of times, they will live for 70, 80 years. And they will build big houses, big buildings. Even that wouldn’t be enough for them; and they will want more.” He said, “If I will live for 70 years like them, I will make Sajdah and not raise my head until I die!” These are the people living for Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.
So you must appreciate everything Allāh ﷻ has given us, and try not to follow other people’s ideas. These ideas are really, very bad ideas. The worst ideas are coming from these people who are cheating Muslims. And for Muslims, there’s no difference between young or old or anything else. Everyone can be cheated. So we must be careful not to follow them. Because when you follow one step, a second step comes. After that, a third step and it will be a real disaster, really bad.
Unfortunately, we see this everywhere in Muslim countries. We see it everywhere. The young don’t have experience. We see many of them wake up later on and regret what they’d done before. For this, we must look after our young children. How can we do this? First, we make ourselves a good example for them. If you’re not a good example, how will they follow you? You must consider that: not everything your ego likes, you can do. So we said, as Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, stay away from these customs of new things as much as you can, it will be much better. Intention is very important. May Allāh ﷻ help us. Even if small, even if you want something a little bit, say, “No. I don’t want this because it makes my ego happy. My nafs will be happy to get this, to wear this, to do this.” So little by little, you will be, in shā’a Llāh, an example for youngsters also.
There’s also a good thing to raise children upon. Before, children used to look after their family, father and mother, obeying them. Now, no. Everyone in the house, the mother and father are obeying their children. What the child wants, “I will give you what you want. Don’t worry. Don’t be sad. What do you want?” “I want this toy. I want this phone. I want this television.” Even if you will bring it, don’t give it on the same day. Give it after one week or one month; for them to know its value. If you give them today, after one hour, he’ll want another. And after one hour, he’ll want another. For this, he must be suffering a little bit to learn the value of things.
There’s one story. Rahmatu Llah ‘alayhi, one man used to say this story. There was a very spoiled boy. The father was angry at the family. In the end, he said, “Every day I will give you one pound only. And you must give it back to me.” The boy said okay. The first day, he brought this coin. He said, “Take this coin and throw it in the toilet.” The next day again, the same. The third day, he said, “You must work. I will not give you money anymore.” He put him in a work. He was working from morning till evening. He brought one pound. The father threw it in the toilet. He said, “What did you do! I’ve been
working all day for that and you threw it!” So this had no value. And when it’s without value, you can throw everything in the toilet; no problem, he said.
This must be [taught] to children. Children now have everything. They can’t even be bored. They have this phone for 24-hours; not getting bored. Before, sometimes there was boredom. There was nothing to do; what can we do! This is also good for children. Everything is good. Allāh ﷻ created us to learn, to control your ego, to control your nafs. This is very important, as we said. Even for yourself, for children, for everybody. Now we hear there’s some kind of machine, telephone or something. These crazy people, when they hear a new one is coming out, they put a tent in front of the shop, three months before and wait for it. If you tell them to pray two rak’āh, “Too difficult,” they say. SubhanAllah. We are completely controlled by our ego. We are saying, but in shā’a Llāh, even if we do one percent of what we are saying, it’s enough.
May Allāh ﷻ bless you. May Allāh ﷻ keep us safe. In shā’a Llāh we be with Sayyidina Al-Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam. Mawlānā Shaykh used to say, that time, all this technology will go; no more telephone, no more internet. Without that, it will be better than technology, in shā’a Llāh. It will be qiyāmah also, in shā’a Llāh. But what’s important is that we are in the utmost need for Sayyidina Al-Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam to come to finish these oppressors from Muslims and non-Muslims. Muslims are also oppressing people making them be away from Islām. They are torturing Muslims telling them, “Don’t do this! Don’t do that! You are kāfir! You are Mushrik!” For this, we are praying, making du’ā’ for Allāh ﷻ to send Sayyidina Al-Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam to clean this also. Not for ourselves, AlhamduliLlah we are living, we have no problem. We are thankful to Allāh ﷻ for giving us everything. We are not in need of anything, in shā’a Llāh. Thank you for you. May Allāh ﷻ bless you.
Wa min Allāhi t-Tawfīq. Al-Fātiḥa.
