A Friend Worse Than Shayṭān

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim:

(Qur’ān 09:119). ‘Yā ‘Ayyuhā l-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū t-Taqū l-Llaha Wa Kūnū Ma’a sSādiqīn’, ‘O you who have believed, fear Allāh and be with the truthful.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l- ‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is ordering the believers to be with honest people. This is the best thing for people; to be together with truthful and honest people. Because since ‘Adam ‘alayhi s-salām there has been shayṭān and ego making people cheat each other. Allāh ﷻ orders something good for you, but shayṭān orders something different. Allāh ﷻ ordered ‘Adam ‘alayhi s-salām to eat from everything in paradise. In paradise nothing is like that of dunyā. He ﷻ said, “Only this one, don’t touch it.” Shayṭān came and cheated him, “You must eat this.”

Since that time, there has been the same thing. Most people have goodness in them. But there comes one who’s not a good one but a bad one, cheating people and taking them ruin, to destroy them. For this, you must be away from bad people, bad friends or anything bad; stay away from it. Don’t look at it. You can address them; once or twice. If they are still in the same character, no need to be with them. Because unfortunately, most people these days have this character. They think if they cheat people, they will be better, they will be happy, they will win something. They are not winning anything. They are destroying themselves, destroying others and destroying all people.

So, this is especially for youngsters. They don’t have experience in life, and these people can cheat them. They think their friends are the most valuable people. But in reality, this friend is worse than shayṭān. Shayṭān cannot do what this bad friend can do. May Allāh ﷻ keep us safe from them. And keep our children and our people safe from these ones. May Allāh ﷻ keep us safe, in shā’a Llāh.
