Knowledge but Without Spirituality

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm.

‘Alā inna awliyā’a Llāhi lā khawfun a’layhim wa-lā hum yaḥzanūn’, ‘Verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve.’” (Qur’ān 10:62). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Yesterday night, AlhamduliLlah we were in a gathering for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, remembering Awliyā’u Llāh, all Awliyā’u Llāh especially Sayyidina Shaykh Abdul Qādir Al-Gaylāni. He’s one of the greatest Awliyā’u Llāh. Allāh ﷻ gave him this honor and those who follow him also get this honor to be a beloved one for Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. All Awliyā’u Llāh are oceans. They are oceans of mercy, oceans of knowledge, oceans of goodness. They teach people every good thing. You cannot find this special thing. He not only has knowledge but also spiritual madad from Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. They are opening the hearts of people making them to come to Islām, to be sincere, to be really good people. Maybe there are many people who are more knowledgeable than these people but Allāh ﷻ has given them a specialty to open the hearts of people.

Once, the son of Shaykh Abdul Qādir Al-Gaylāni saw his father speaking. He said, “Maybe I know better than him. Why are these people following my father!” Shaykh Abdul Qādir Al-Gaylāni knew his heart. He said, “You must give a Ṣuḥbah to people.” So he observed him: one week, the next week. Every week, people were disappearing. People were running away. This was good knowledge. Everything was good. But it was knowledge without spirituality. So, after that he asked his father, “Why is that happening? Am I speaking something wrong?” He said, “No. But you are speaking from your ego, from no spirituality.” So these people are coming like bees coming for honey, but they are finding no honey there, so they are running away. In the end, nobody was coming. Everybody wanted Shaykh Abdul Qādir Al-Gaylāni.

So this is the power of these people whom many ignorant ones do not accept. Maybe they find people around them but when they understand a little bit, there won’t be anyone left around those who don’t respect spirituality and don’t respect Awliyā’u Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ bless them. And make their mercy be upon us, upon all of us, in shā’a Llāh.
