Connecting is by Ṭarīqah

7 min read

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

In shā’a Llāh we make ṣuḥbah. And after a little bit, Dhikr and Khatm Khwājagan in shā’a Llāh.

The way of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, Ṭarīqah, maybe some don’t know, but Ṭarīqah and sharī’ah are together in shā’a Llāh. To be (more) stronger in īmān, you must follow both of them; as much as you can. If you are in ṭarīqah, Allāh ﷻ doesn’t order you, Prophet ﷺ doesn’t order you, mashāyikh don’t order you to carry stone on your back. No. Ṭarīqah is just to follow the murshid, and this is connecting you to Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Without this - we have since Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, all the ṣaḥābah were connecting with Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Who followed the ṣaḥābah was connecting.

But after them - even that time also - there were many people claiming something, saying there’s no need for murshid or no need to follow ṭarīqah. But all of this, in the end, they were either finding the truth and following Shaykh, Mashāyikh, or they were out of Sharī’ah and there were no followers [anymore]; it was cut. Maybe only when they were alive, people were looking at them. After that [passing away], nobody was looking at them. But what happened? After centuries, the ideas of some of them spread through people who have bad intentions, and they made fitnah between Muslims. And after this also, the Khilāfah of Islām was especially finished; they finished it.

They finished it especially. They don’t want it. Because with this Khilāfah, there must be justice. When no Khilāfah, no justice. So after this, there became more - at the end of time of the Khilāfah, before maybe one hundred years or one hundred fifty years, two hundred years, new people began claiming, “This is our gathering, jamā’ah. It is for the khidmah (service) of Islām.” But because they are not connected, even if they have good intention, it was not working. It was going in the end to the wrong way, taking people to the wrong way. And especially before maybe thirty years or forty years, it has become worse and worse. Because Muslims have doubt from these people in good people, in ṭarīqah people. They are showing the good as bad.

But Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is saying about the end of time of the Ummah, there will be dajjāl, antichrist. He will go through east and west with his army, calling people to him. He says, “Who believes in me, this is Jannah, this is Jahannam.” He is showing people. And who believes in him, in reality, Jahannam is the Jannah. But if they are wanting the Jannah of dajjāl, it is Jahannam, hell. Like this, these people are showing the good as bad. And the bad showing it as good. So many people are cheated by them and running away from ṭarīqah.

They say, “We only want sharī’ah.” But when you want sharī’ah, even in sharī’ah also, they make doubt. They say, “We don’t want madhhab. We only read from Qur’ān. We know this. We can give fatwá. Anything by our ideas is good fatwá.” This is very dangerous. Because to give fatwá is not an easy thing. Don’t think it is easy. You take responsibility. Even big ālim, ulamā’, were running away from giving fatwá or being a judge. So these people don’t have any problem in them giving fatwá for anything without looking or asking anybody. And this makes more and more fitnah between Muslims. And when fitnah becomes among Muslims, shayṭān will be happy because he wants people to go to hell. His aim, the thing that makes him happy the most is: to take people to hell.

Sometimes many people you think are good believers, good Muslims, but you suddenly see them going out of the way. Why? Because they don’t have a connection. Those whom they follow don’t have a good intention. Whom you follow must have a good intention. What is our intention: to be a servant for Allāh ﷻ, for Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, for Islām, to help Muslims, to show them the good thing, to give them love, to give them help, to give them anything they are in need of from goodness. Even Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam is saying, to smile to a Muslim is ṣadaqah also. Ṣadaqah means reward from Allāh ﷻ. Nothing is without reward for Muslims.

For this, ṭarīqah - Why do they not like ṭarīqah? Why? Because ṭarīqah is showing the beauty of Islām, the good, the way of Islām, way of humanity. Islām, ṭarīqah is the best example for how human beings must be acting like a human being. They have justice, they have mercy, they have helping; they have every good thing not only for human beings, even for nature, for animals, for water, for stone,

for everything. Islām and ṭarīqah have instructions on what you will do from day one until the grave.

Islām is teaching all this good thing. So it’s not like what the hypocrite humanists say, “We are like this, we are like that.” And when you look, they only say it by word. But in Islām, ṭarīqah, you must say and act. One of these billions, millions of sayings, “There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.” No harming and nobody harming you. Don’t harm anybody. Don’t hurt or make anybody harm others also.

This harming is not acceptable in Islām, in ṭarīqah, in shari’ah. There is justice. The first thing in Islām is justice. This is a very important point which we lost in the whole world. We lost this in the big and small, gathering or single or everybody. Because when there is injustice, everybody thinks it is normal. You cannot imagine how just it was in the time of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ʿalayhi wa sallam, and the time of Sayyidinā Umar. Sayyidinā Umar was famous with justice. All khulafā’ were famous with this justice. Even after them, until the end of the time of the Ottomans, it was like this. When the Ottomans were finished, the first thing they ordered was to finish the system of justice of Islām. It was a thousand years that the Turks were helping Islām. For a thousand years, they were following this justice, Islāmic justice. And they was famous with this among the whole world. Even those who didn’t like them were appreciating the justice they have. Even the (most) strongest one, Sulṭān Sulaymān Al-Qānūnī. He is famous in Europe also. They say “Qānūnī”, meaning who follows the law. Until that, as we said, when they made them to sign, the first thing was to take the Khilāfah (Caliphate). This is for the new - after that, when they finished the Ottomans, they became maybe forty states. And in the end they said, “You must finish the Khilāfah and you must - what’s more important than this – to finish this law.” Because this is the best law human beings have had. And when they finished this, all the world became with no justice; making troubles, making misery and every bad thing. Because barakah and mercy: when Allāh ﷻ is not happy with people, He ﷻ not giving so.

So since a hundred years or more now, every time, day by day becoming worse and worse, worse and worse. Somebody was asking Mawlānā, “When will this get better? Tomorrow or later will it be better?” He said, “No. Every day, becoming worse and worse until, in shā’a Llāh, Sayyidinā Al-Mahdī comes and justice will come again.” In shā’a Llāh that time, all this misery will finish. Allāh ﷻ will be happy with us, in shā’a Llāh.

May Allāh ﷻ send him soon because the world has really no hope in anybody. Now, we heared about the election in the biggest country in the world. But when you see, you look at them, there is even no person and no personality, everybody is like a clown or something: misery. Not any one whom you can trust or you can say, “This is good, this is not good.” Before, you can say this is maybe good, this is bad. But even there, everywhere is finished. In shā’a Llāh, when this finishes, a new thing is coming, in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ send him soon, inshā’aLlāh.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
