Love the Prophet ﷺ and What He ﷺ Loved
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, "Love me. A person who does not truly love me doesn't have complete īmān, he's not mu’min." Who loves our Holy Prophet ﷺ has complete īmān. And you must love whom our Holy Prophet ﷺ loves. Whatever he ﷺ loves, you must love it. Most of all, our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam loves Ahlu l-Bayt, ṣaḥābah and Awliyā’. He ﷺ loves them.
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says about all ṣaḥābah, "These are my companions. Who talks badly about them does so for me ﷺ." Who respect him ﷺ must respect them as well. Because they are his ﷺ beloved people. And Ahlu l-Bayt means his ﷺ family. We must love his ﷺ grandchildren and those who come from his ﷺ lineage. Along with them, the ṣaḥābah and Awliyā’, scholars and ulama; show respect to all of them. They show the way of Allāh ﷻ. They show the way of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Respecting and loving them is from the perfection of īmān. You become from people who truly love our Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Among the beloved things of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, our Holy Prophet ﷺ loves praying and fasting. And the favourite food of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is known. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ ate everything. Certainly, there was not much food then. But there were some things from fruit and vegetables, or from food our Holy Prophet ﷺ liked more. Eating them with such intention strengthens our īmān with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. Eating his ﷺ favourite food brings cure. In shā’a Llāh with that intention it gives strength to our īmān.
There is a story on this. One imām went to a village. He was given a pumpkin. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam loved pumpkin. When he saw the favourite food of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, he ate it, as it is the food of paradise. There were many pumpkins in that village. They gave him a lot of it and for a cheap price every day. The Imām was fed up with it but couldn't say anything, as it was the favourite of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. He went up the minaret and said, "Pumpkin in the evening, pumpkin in the morning, I'm fed up, yā RasuluLlāh." People stopped giving him then. They gave him until he was fed up. No need for that. Whether you like it, or not, take a bite. And it will be cure and goodness for the honor of our Holy Prophet ﷺ.
The love of our Holy Prophet ﷺ is a great treasure. It is the greatest worship. When people have it, they shouldn't fear anything. With the permission of Allāh ﷻ they will have from the favours of Allāh ﷻ. May Allāh ﷻ bless the month of Mawlid once again. We did celebrations. It is over now. In shā’a Llāh may we celebrate Mawlid Sharīf better and nicer again with the whole world understanding the worth of our Holy Prophet ﷺ in shā’a Llāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
