Forty Years

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

As we came here to the city of Gaziantep for the first time, we visit this Dergah for the first time as well. We will make Sohbah, Khatm and Dhikr insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ accept it. May it be blessed insha’Allah.

We were thinking about this today; Shukr to Allah ﷻ, exactly this time in August forty years ago, we passed by here by the bus. But it was outside the city then. Now we are in the city. But then, we were very much out of the city. We were not meant to go inside the city then. It has been exactly forty years since then. It was in August 1984, maybe 1-2 days after, on the 15th or 16th of August. By the wisdom of Allah ﷻ, exactly forty years ago we passed by the city but were not destined to go inside it. We are destined to come now.

Forty years before that, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim had passed by here. He was going to Damascus. He had left the apparent knowledge and went to seek the true knowledge with a spiritual sign. He went to look for his Murshid. That was in 1944, eighty years ago. And forty years ago, we passed by here. We were not meant to go inside then by the wisdom of Allah ﷻ.

It was not meant for Sayyidina Musa ‘alayhi s-salam to enter Palestine. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla told Sayyidina Yusha after forty years, “Bani Israil, enter Palestine. Make Sajdah and get along with its people.” He ﷻ didn’t say, “Fight them, and throw them out. Allah ﷻ is with you.” But they decided to enter like that. When they did so, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla got angry with them. He ﷻ said, “Go away. Get lost!” They wandered for forty years until no one was left. Even Musa ‘alayhi ssalam and Harun ‘alayhi s-salam were in the same time, but they were not meant to enter Palestine. Sayyidina Yusha ‘alayhi s-salam went in there.

We went to Sayyidina Yusha ‘alayhi s-salam today. By the wisdom of Allah ﷻ, he has Maqam here, in your blessed area. We were meant to visit him. May his

virtue and Barakah be everlasting upon you here insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ give his Barakah. It is an old place of the beloved people of Allah ﷻ who keep their traditions, Adab and good manners, who are on the way of Allah ﷻ. It is a precious place. Insha’Allah with their Barakah, it will be protected from the evil of shaytans.

Dunya is boiling with evil and Fitnah. But with the permission of Allah ﷻ, for the honor of these holy ones wherever they are, here, in Urfa, in Mardin, in Diyarbakir, in Siirt, in Erzurum; there is the Barakah of these holy ones everywhere. With their Barakah, insha’Allah there will be peace and Barakah for people. They will have the love of Allah ﷻ in their hearts. It is the most important thing. As long as they have it, they won’t need anything else.

Many people come and say “I have this and that.” As long as you have the most important thing: the Iman in your heart; the rest is not important. As long as you have it, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla certainly gives what is in each one’s fate. And no one can give what Allah ﷻ doesn’t give. May Allah ﷻ give you Barakah. Insha’Allah to be Khadims and servants of Islam. Be from the useful people to the Muslims and Ummah. May Allah ﷻ protect you from Fitnah, accidents and bad conditions.

Shaytans are putting this Fitnah and evil to people here as well. They are making children get used to bad habits. May Allah ﷻ protect you from their evil. May the afflicted ones be saved from that. Because what the shaytans want the most is to take conservative people on the way of Allah ﷻ out of the way through all kinds of means. As they say, they are ready to beat you from the waist down and from the waist up without any mercy. May Allah ﷻ protect us from the evil of the helpers of shaytan. May their evil return to themselves insha’Allah.

May Allah ﷻ be pleased with you. We thank you. Beautiful treats have been made today, may Allah ﷻ be pleased with you. May the spiritual treats of the holy ones be upon us too, insha’Allah. We are coming to Dergah for the first time. Insha’Allah we made Sohbah, and we will make Khatm ul-Khwajagan insha’Allah so that the Dergah always lasts insha’Allah.
