Losing One’s Life

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla created mankind as precious. He ﷻ wants them to value everything. Valuing is not living for nothing. They must devote their life and time to Allah ﷻ, as its benefit is unlimited. Living for nothing means “What will we do today? Where will we go? How will we entertain ourselves? How will we play?” Days, months and life pass in entertainment and pleasure. In the end, they look and realize they have nothing in hand. They have wasted their precious time and life. They have lost their lives.

There are many people nowadays who don’t know what they say. When someone dies, they don’t say he passed away. The new trend is to say he lost his life. It is true. Many people are gone losing their lives. They are gone losing it without attaining anything. They have literally lost everything. In order not to lose one’s life, it is not difficult; you must pray. You must say “I am living for the pleasure of Allah ﷻ. My intention today is to earn Rizq for the pleasure of Allah ﷻ and deal with work for people to have some benefit.” You should intend for that. You will not lose your life then. You will earn your life. You will earn both your life and Akhirah.

Otherwise, SubhanAllah, Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is giving wisdom into people’s mouths without them knowing. A person has lost his life. He lost everything. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May He ﷻ not make us from those who lose their lives. And may He ﷻ give mind and understanding to people so that they don’t lose their lives insha’Allah.
