How to Be Human

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says that Allāh ‘Azza waJalla created us in best way both in appearance and in attitude. Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam teaches us the best things. What he ﷺ teaches us makes us human. He ﷺ puts us on the way of perfect humanity. Those who don't follow him ﷺ go out of that way step by step. They go out of humanity.

Therefore, one of the good things shown by our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu alayhi wa sallam is that he ﷺ tells to meet people beloved by your father. Show respect to them. This is from Islām. This is what our Holy Prophet ﷺ says. Because good people are few. It means that people of old times known to your father have similar characteristics and nature like him. Their nature and characteristics will pass to you. They will pass to your family from you. Therefore, good people should not leave each other. They should always be in touch. They should always be together as much as they can. They should not forget each other.

This is an important thing. Because people of present time don't appreciate anything anymore. What they value are useless things, useless people, harmful people. They spend time with them and take on their attributes. If they have something humane, they lose it. And then they regret it. It is bad both spiritually and physically, because being with bad people harms you too. Who is with bad ones never profits. Who is with shayṭān never profits. Shayṭān says openly to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla "I will harm these people. I will take them out of the way. I will make them get used to badness. I will make them enemies to each other." Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla wants good people to be together. Be together and don't be separate, says Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

Therefore, one of the most important things is to show respect to good friends of your parents and relatives. At least, you should show respect and keep in touch on occasions. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. Because as we said, many people lose many things passing something to each other. The things they lose can't be found. Therefore, may Allāh ﷻ let us meet good ones. May Allāh ﷻ make us always together with good ones in shā’a Llāh. Who are with good ones will be with good ones both here and hereafter with the permission of Allāh ﷻ.
