After Heavy Darkness Comes Light

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Allah Azza wa Jalla says, Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 94:05-06). ‘Fa-inna ma‘a l-‘usri yusra (5) Inna ma‘a l-‘usri yusra (6)’, ‘For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease (5) Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease (6).’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ﷻ says after every difficulty comes easiness. This is Allāh’s ﷻ promise for humans, for who are believers. Without difficulty doesn’t come easiness. And this is a rule for everything even. When a lady becomes pregnant, when she gives birth, it is the worst, it is difficult for the woman. After that, she becomes very happy when she gets the baby. After that, when [the children are] growing up, they go to learn something. It is also difficult to go and learn in school or another kind of business, job. They also have difficulties. After this, they will take the better thing: in knowledge and for living.

This is Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla’s rule to make people see life and to not be hopeless. After rain, heavy darkness, rain and cold comes light, greenery, flowers, good fruit, wheat and everything comes after this heavy winter. And if people before this time are depending on this thing that Allāh ﷻ has given them, they will be happy.

For the Mu’min, for the believer also: after every difficultly, Allāh ﷻ will open a good thing, a better thing for him. Believers must believe in this. And they must not ask why this happened, and why this didn’t happen. “Why all of this happened to me and not for others?” When they say this, of course he will not be rewarded as when he is not asking and saying, “This from Allāh ﷻ and He ﷻ knows better. We accept this from Him ﷻ. We accept what He ﷻ gave us, we are happy

with Him ﷻ.” And that time, Allāh ﷻ will be happy with us. And He ﷻ will reward us without counting.

Dunya is not paradise. In paradise, there’s no difficulty at all. In Dunya, many people these days have a system, we don’t know how or who put it, but they make people upside down. Before, it was a time when youngsters were helping their family, they were doing work or business. After holidays and in holidays, they were working and doing many things. But in this time, it has become the opposite. The mother and father are looking for the pleasure of their children. They’re serving them as their servants. Everything they want, they give them. And they don’t leave them to - They try to make them happy with everything as much as they can. What do they want? To not be bored, to not say, “We don’t have anything to do. I am not happy.” They like to be serving their children full-time. And they thought they are making their children happy. I like to ask their children, “Are you happy?” They answer, “No, we are not happy.” Why? Because they have not seen difficulties. With [knowing] the thing, you know the opposite of this thing. With difficulty you know how it is to get what you want. To be happy with this, with the small thing. For this, the children become unhappy with what they have. They want more and more and more. But what can they do more than this?

As we said, we are living in earth, not in heaven, in paradise. Here, when these children are also growing or going out, they will also be shocked in life. And it will be the opposite for them: difficulty after easiness. Because people are not taking care about the teaching of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam and Islam which give people lessons for this life and the next life. Because those who leave the children as they like, they will be the whole time depending on someone. And in the end, you won’t be there, the father and mother won’t be there. So that time, they will become miserable.

Of course, this teaching is outside the teaching of Islam. Islam gives the rights for human beings, what they will do and from when they can do this. For children, firstly to teach them to read and write because this is an order from Allāh. , “Iqra’” (Qur’an 96:1) means “Read”. After that, to teach them to help their family. Because it’s difficult for someone who doesn’t know anything, doesn’t do any work in his life, to go and work after finishing university or finishing high school. But now they are forbidding children to work. When will they work then? They must learn, practice something to have some experience in life with working in some business or some hand-work (craft). Somebody can be good in being a farmer, somebody good in being a carpenter, somebody good with music, writing or other. In this time, from childhood, everyone can know what he will do. He will

have discipline, he will have good character and his life will be easy. And from this good character, he continues his life as a good life in his house also, his marriage, with his children, his neighbors; in everything, he will be better.

Yes, this is the teaching of Islam and Tariqah also. Tariqah is like this. Tariqah means the way, way of life. And the way of life goes forever. When you are controlling your ego and learning how to control it, you will succeed. There are many of these new illnesses we hear about: stress, problems, many things. Every day, we hear a new name for this century’s illnesses. It’s all coming from this: no discipline, not learning to face difficulty.

AlhamduliLlah some people are trying to apply this, and insha’Allah Allāh ﷻ helps them. AlhamduliLlah today we saw these children, and happiness came to us. Since a long time we haven’t been happy like this. They are also happy with what they learn, and they give happiness for others also. Happiness spreads in people also. Just as sadness or stress grows now in the whole world. As them being in bad mood and not happy spreads, happiness also spreads. AlhamduliLlah some small thing also has an effect. It is coming against this darkness and it will be a blessing from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

Mawlana Shaykh was saying every time about making something for youngsters, for children, to make them come more to the way of Allāh ﷻ because they are the future and they will be good for others also.

May Allāh ﷻ help human beings to see this and to correct their way. Because there is some dark idea, they are controlling the whole world. Everywhere we see the same thing to not make people happy. They are preventing people from good customs and doing good things. And they make the whole world in chaos and not in the way anymore. They are finished; dead and finished.

But as we said in the beginning of the Sohbah, after difficulty, it will open; there’s no doubt in this. Now humanity, everywhere you see: nobody has hope, all are hopeless. But AlhamduliLlah, we have knowledge from Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam and what he ﷺ said. It will be after this, a new world with light, with blessings, with all good things for humanity. It is near insha’Allah. When Sayyidina Al-Mahdi ‘alayhi s-salam comes, all these problems, not one problem will be left insha’Allah. That time will be like paradise. Of course not paradise, but like paradise. Because in paradise there’s no difficulty at all. There’s happiness, no sadness, no anything from the difficulty of life here.

Because now maybe some people - No, I don’t think anywhere in the world people have hope; all are hopeless. And even if they have hope, it finishes quickly. Because what happened in the last 20 years – Before this, you cannot [imagine that] and even if you said so they would say, “What is this man talking about! This world has democracy. They have every good thing, they have a system, a strong system that nobody can change.” But now, everyday you see a new thing. People are astonished how it’s happening, how this can be.

For this, they don’t have [hope]. Only believers have this hope. Because they know that what Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said will be, it will be. So we are happy. May Allāh ﷻ reward us for our patience. And our reward will be a right for us because we are waiting for this. So we are praying to Allāh ﷻ to make us reach these good days insha’Allah.
