No Enmity in Tariqah

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

[…] And this is for all Muslims. They must be like this. But for Tariqah people, it is more important. Muslims nowadays, when you go to some place, some people are looking as - I don’t know that’s very strange for Muslims, they look like they’re not happy to see you. Muslims must be happy with other Muslims, to be united, to be at least welcoming, not [necessarily] welcoming but to be smiling to other Muslims. It is even Saqadah, Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says. And for common people, it’s a little bit not good. But for people of Tariqah, they must be an example for other people.

If they are seeing - shaytan makes them to see somebody out of their group or their Tariqah, they are a little bit not so happy with them. Many of the Sufi people, shaytan makes them to see one who’s from another Shaykh or another Tariqah as his enemy. But Tariqah is what Allāh ﷻ gave you to be more close to Allāh ﷻ. If you are not doing what Tariqah orders, you will not be near Allāh ﷻ, you will be far.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla gave everybody some direction. Everybody can follow someone who is in the right way, on the way of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wasallam. There are 40 Tariqahs, any one of them, it’s ok, no problem. Because even Tariqah people are very few. We must be happy with anyone from any Tariqah, because alhamduliLlah he is on the same line with us. Defending the way of Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, way of Ahlu s-Sunnah wal Jama’ah. And they are respecting Ahlu l-Bayt, respecting Sahabah. So we must be happy with them, not be unhappy. Allāh ﷻ gave them, guided them to the way of His ﷻ love, way of Prophet ﷺ, Tariqah. “This Tariqah is more than us,” don’t be jealous, you must be happy.

Now in the same Tariqah, not even from other Tariqah, you are in the same Tariqah, you must be happy there are people in the same way. But maybe they like to be with their group, there’s no problem in this. But the problem is to be enemies to each other.

This is not from Tariqah, and not from Shari’ah. It is said that a Muslim not speaking to another Muslim more than three days is Haram. How do you claim to be in Tariqah and you are being an enemy to your brother, Muslim and Tariqah brother! How can you [combine] this together like this and after that you say, “I am following Shaykh?”! With this, Allāh ﷻ will not be happy with you, Prophet ﷺ will not be happy with you and Mashayikh will not be happy with you. Because Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla - the Murid must be as, ‘ ’. The Murid must be: Allāh ﷻ sees me, Allāh ﷻ is My witness, Allāh ﷻ is with me. The Murid must know this.

For this, you must keep aside what you have from Dunya problem, control and put your ego under your feet and be together. What will happen that time? What will happen is that shaytan will be sad, miserable and angry with you. And Allāh ﷻ will be happy with you, Prophet ﷺ will be happy with you and Mashayikh will be happy with you. It will be like this insha’Allah. And it will be Barakah for you, more people coming to you, to Tariqah, through this act; what you’ve done. It will be Barakah for you and for Muslims insha’Allah.
