Oppression Isn’t from His ﷻ Attributes

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim. Those who believe do not oppress, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Oppression comes from Kufr. A person who believes in Allah ﷻ doesn’t oppress anyone and doesn’t cause suffering to anyone, because Allah ﷻ is merciful.

People want to imitate Allah ﷻ in some things. Oppression is not from His ﷻ attributes. His ﷻ attribute is justice. Mercy is the attribute of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Believers must have these attributes. They must imitate them. No one is like Allah ﷻ. But these are His ﷻ attributes. Imitating His ﷻ attributes is good.

Oppressing is not from the attributes of Allah ﷻ. Ḥāshā! (far from it). Justice is from His ﷻ attributes. His ﷻ attributes are the beautiful ways shown and taught to people by our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Those who apply them attain the pleasure of Allah ﷻ. Who don’t apply them but make oppression will be the cause of wrath of Allah ﷻ. His ﷻ punishment will come for sure. If they don’t repent but keep on oppressing, that oppression will turn upon them. It will bring no benefit but badness to themselves.

Oppression is all kinds of injustice. All kinds of insolence and badness are oppression. Badness you do to everything and mankind, even to the earth you walk on is counted as oppression. Because Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla has certainly given a beautiful life to everyone. Who use it badly oppress themselves and oppress others.

Therefore, we must be careful. The way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and our Holy Prophet ﷺ is the way of light and justice. It is a way without oppression. Walking on that way, going in the shown direction will give us a beautiful life here and hereafter. May Allah ﷻ grant us all to walk on this way. May we not oppress anyone. May Allah ﷻ forgive us if we have oppressed anyone with or without knowing.
