Nothing outside His ﷻ Will

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla does whatever He ﷻ wants. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is Most Capable of everything. Most people don't like their lives, they don't like their conditions. This is a normal situation for common people, ordinary people. Because they don’t have much īmān, they don’t have anything, they don't have much thought. That's why, they object to everything, they don't like everything. They don't like most things.

There are some people who understand a little more about religion and īmān. He says, “I want to end kufr. I will erase kufr.” There are many people, including Muslims, who say they will not leave anything or anyone behind. He says, “If it were up to me, I would do this.” These issues are the will of Allāh ﷻ. Allāh ﷻ will certainly send someone whenever He ﷻ wants. He ﷻ does as such. He ﷻ will do it with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. The promise of Allāh ﷻ is true. Kufr will disappear. There will be nothing left of kufr. There will be no oppression. All will be gone.

But the current situation for the people of ṭarīqah is to be content with Allāh’s ﷻ ruling, to accept the things Allāh ﷻ has given, and not to object to them. We don’t accept anything as, “We assess Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla’s knowledge.” Never can the knowledge and wisdom of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla be questioned.

In old times, many Awliyā’ and scholars lived. They would appear more. Now they do not appear, they are hidden. That’s why people without īmān, Muslims but without īmān have multiplied. They also give judgments according to their own minds, saying “We will do this, we will do that.” In old times, as we said, there were great scholars and great murshids. One of them was Muslihuddin Efendi, a great scholar. When he completed his knowledge,

his apparent knowledge, he demanded true knowledge. He came to a great Shaykh [asking] for this knowledge. He is a great Shaykh called Sümbül Efendi; a scholar living from the time of the Ottomans. He loved the Shaykh because his high knowledge and abilities were clear.

One day, the Shaykh gathered his students. “As a lesson for you today: what would you do if you were to rule this world?” he asked everyone. “Think of this. Then, I will ask each of you for your opinion and thought. Let me see what your states are, and which of you is the best one,” he said he will ask them. They all thought until Maghrib. They came to the Shaykh’s presence one by one. “O Shaykh, I will remove this evil. I will erase these. I will do like this to them, I will do like that to them”, they all gave their opinions until Maghrib. It was Muslihuddin Efendi’s turn. He said, "What would you do? How were you going to reform this world? What would you if it was yours?" He said, “If it was mine, I would leave everyone and everything in their Merkez.” What he meant by ‘Merkez’ is that he would leave everything in its place. “This is what Allāh 'Azza wa-Jalla has willed. I cannot show any desire other than His ﷻ will”, he said. So his name became Merkez Efendi. People have been visiting him ever since. He has great knowledge. He has been of great guidance in the knowledge of healing and in the external and esoteric knowledge. He trained students. He raised beautiful people. People visit him until now. They also hear his wisdom more or less. Again, people study as they know; that is another matter.

This is a big lesson for Muslims and believers: that Allāh ﷻ created everything in the most beautiful manner. Everything happens as He ﷻ wants. Nothing happens outside His ﷻ will. He told this wisdom, a very beautiful wisdom. The person who accepts it and does it is comfortable. He has no worries, no headaches. He is pleased because this is what Allāh ﷻ wants. May Allāh ﷻ make us from those servants in shā'a Llāh.
