Wage War on Your Ego

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

We must believe in the destiny of Allah ﷻ. He ﷻ is Ahsan ul-Khaliqeen. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla created everything in the most perfect shape. He ﷻ raises whomever He ﷻ wants, and He ﷻ lowers whomever He ﷻ wants, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Those who ask for honor should be with Allah ﷻ, they will live with that honor then. Those who don’t want honor, who want to be servile, who want to be low may go against Allah ﷻ.

People don’t care nowadays. They only care about their personal benefits, the rest is not important for them. They do various things to have what they are interested in. They have lost the understanding of highness and lowness. People don’t have it anymore. Therefore, they are doing everything. They are going after everything, especially bad things. Because they think their benefit is there. There is no benefit there. There is no benefit at all. They are only betraying themselves. That is nothing but being defeated by their egos and shaytan.

Those who obey their egos are disgraced, ashamed and become worthless. Worthy are those who have worth in the presence of Allah ﷻ. Those who ask from Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, the One who gives honor, will reach it. May we be from people raised by Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla insha’Allah. May we be on His ﷻ way and under His ﷻ command insha’Allah. May we not lean towards this world and not see the bad as good insha’Allah. We are only capable of this, nothing else. We are only capable of guarding ourselves and not accepting in our hearts in this time.

Many things are happening. As people cannot do anything, not accepting that is the weakest of Iman. We are living in the time of weakest Iman. Apart from Kafirs, Muslims, those who live by as Muslims are doing all kinds of badness as well. May Allah ﷻ protect us from the evil of shaytan and the evil of our egos. May we not follow them. May we not follow our egos. May we capture our egos insha’Allah. Until when? We must capture our egos until our last breath.

Don’t think your ego obeyed you and you will live in comfort then. There is nothing like that. Very few people can do so. Those who can say they have captured their egos are very rare people. They are great Awliya. Otherwise, everyone must wage war against their egos and capture their egos until their last breath. We must not give it a chance not only for a minute but not even for a second. May Allah ﷻ help us.
