What’s Happened, Happened
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
One of our murīd’s father raḥmatu Llāh alayhim used to say, “This happened like this because that is what happened.” What does this mean? When everything happens, it must be like this by Allāh’s ﷻ will.
Many people say maybe for themselves or for others, “If I was here before 20 years, I would’ve been (more) happy, more successful, (more) better. My situation would’ve been like this. If I did not meet this man, or if I did not meet that woman, I would’ve been more happy. I [my situation] now is very very bad. I’m not happy, my work is not good.”
This must be and it happened. Don’t look at what happened before; you cannot change it. This is Allāh’s ﷻ will. Allāh ﷻ wrote this and it happened and passed away. It went, passed from your life: these years, days, months. All these pass. You cannot change anything.
What you can do only is look at what you are now; this time. Tomorrow: you don’t know. After one hour: you don’t know what will happen. For this, be clever and do the best in this time. Don't look and say, “Oh I am very sad for what happened.” Okay you can be sad if you do something wrong for people or for such. You can be sad. If you ask for forgiveness from Allāh ﷻ, Allāh ﷻ will forgive you.
If you [do wrong by] people, if they are alive, you can ask from them forgiveness also. What you’ve done, you can [fix]. If you make a wrong thing with people, and they accept your excuse and forgive you; this is good. If not, if you cannot find them, this is bad.
Now everywhere in the world they are saying, “If these people do this, it wouldn’t happen like this.” All of this is happening by the will of Allāh ﷻ. Of course, we do not agree with this oppression. But it must be like this because [time]
is approaching for Judgment Day. This world must be like this for the light to appear and clean all of this. In shā’a Llāh with Sayyidinā Al-Mahdī ‘alayhi s-salām. This is what we are looking for.
Many awliyā’u Llāh they were saying about life, especially Mawlānā Jalāluddīn Rumi, “Yesterday passed yesterday. Tomorrow, we don’t know what will happen. We are living in this moment.” That is a very important thing for everybody: as much as they can do [apply this] it is better; from now until the end of life in shā’a Llāh.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
