One of the Greatest Miracles
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam has thousands of miracles. Miracle means an extraordinary thing. It's not something a normal person can do. Miracles happen to prophets. “Miracle” is said to that of Prophets, but not to others. The states that appeared to the ṣaḥābah or the awliyā’ and mashāyikh are called karāmāt. People sometimes mix between miracles and karāmāt.
One of the greatest miracles of our Holy Prophet ﷺ is Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj. Going from Mecca to Jerusalem and ascending to heaven from there. No one has ever been granted this blessing before our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla granted this miracle as a gift to people honoring him ﷺ. What our Holy Prophet ﷺ did is a miracle, a great miracle. It is the gift of Allāh ﷻ. It’s not just for show. Great favors and blessings came with it. This karāmah, this gift from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla for the Ummah continues until Qiyāmah.
People today are still the same, thinking according to their own minds. The believers among people of that time and people of this time are the same. And the faithless ones, the unbelievers are the same. They say, “We don’t believe. Such a thing cannot happen.” Of course, the unbeliever can say that. But the shaytan makes people who claim are Muslims fall into doubt and suspicion saying, “This is wrong. No, it was a dream. No, I don't know what it was.” And they lose its virtue.
It is a karāmah given from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla to prophets. And the awliyā among people are the same. Just as people shouldn’t say, “How could this happen?” about our Holy Prophet ﷺ, awliyā also have Tayy-il makan (folding of place). He can be wherever he wants, whenever he wants. And this is the Barakah of our Holy Prophet’s ﷺ Isrā’ wa-l-Mi‘rāj. What was given to our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was also given to his ﷺ Ummah.
That’s why, by the knowledge given by Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla, everything happens. Nothing is impossible. Unbelievers strive saying, “We will go here. We will go there.” This has a limit. Everything has its limit. Whatever Allāh ‘Azza waJalla wants happens whenever He ﷻ wants. That karāmah was given to all the prophets and awliyā. It was even given to Sulaimān ‘alayhi s-salām before our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Of course, he has miracles too. There were jinns with him. There were also scholars. When he asked, “Who will bring the throne of Balqīs here?” before they brought it, one of the jinn said, “I will bring it here before you rise from your place (council).” The [ruling] council used to take them 1-2 hours. From there, one of the awliyā servants of Allāh ﷻ said, “I will bring it here to you within the twinkling of an eye.” And he instantly placed it right in front of him. So, this is how the knowledge given by Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla occurs.
The one with the highest and greatest rank among the prophets is our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. He was shown the entire universe, the world, the hereafter, heaven, hell and the seven levels of heaven. Then, believers were granted gifts. One of which we read every night: the last two verses of Sūratu lBaqarah. They were directly given to him ﷺ (with no means) when he ﷺ was in His ﷻ Presence. Its blessing was given to the Ummah.
Therefore, tonight is a beautiful night. It is an accepted night. Tomorrow is the 27th of Rajab. It is also a blessed day. You can spend the night with du‘ā’ and worship. And fast its day. You will receive the virtue of this night. Some people say, “There is nothing as such. There is such a Hadith. There is no such Hadith,” some knowingly and some unknowingly. On this basis, there are evidences on the virtues of this night and this day from all awliyā’ and Hadiths of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.
If a person tries to do some small good deed, a hundred shaytans will come against him anyways. They might come in the attribute of ‘ālim. They might also come in the figure of a Hodja, “Don’t do this. You are not doing a good deed. There is no such thing.” Whereas of course, our grandfathers and ancestors did it for hundreds of years. Now, when these stupid people say that there is no such thing, they deprive people of the virtues. They deprive them of the rewards. When they do so, it becomes a sin for them too.
May Allāh ﷻ make these nights blessed for us all. May their blessings be upon us. We believed in this. The people of ṭarīqah are the people of īmān. There is no īmān without a ṭarīqah. Being a Muslim and īmān are not the same thing. In Islam, everyone is Muslim. Those who believe in the miracles of our Holy Prophet ﷺ and what he said ﷺ are believers. The others are Muslims. Therefore, may Allāh ﷻ make us among the believers, and not lead us astray.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
