Temporary Life for Mankind

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

‘Aūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 03:140). ‘Wa-tilka l-ayyāmu nudāwiluhā bayna n-nās’, ‘And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying life of this world consists of days. They pass upon people then stop. Sometimes some people get raised, and sometimes they go down. Various states occur to them. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is describing the life of this world. He ﷻ tells a lot about it in Qur’an ‘Azimu sh-Shan. This one [Ayah] is shorter, but has a lot of meaning.

Life of this world is as such that no one will remain here, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Millions and billions of people had come before us. Some of them had ruled over the world, and some had been ruled. None of them have remained. All of them come and go one after another, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

Mankind say they are clever, but clever people know what this means. Who are not clever think, “This world belongs to me. Everything is mine. I rule over the world.” After a while they see that they have lost everything and lie under the ground. Others come in their place. And the others also think the same, that it will be like this forever. When the time comes, they go too. This is the meaning of this ‘Ayah ‘Azimu sh-Shan.

People are temporarily in this world, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Days pass by, and people will be gone. Days will come, and other people will come in their place. They will go, and others will come up until Qiyamah takes place, and accounts are made. There will be no days and no years anymore. They will live forever then.

People live temporary in this world. Clever people know this. People who say, “I am very educated and knowledgeable. The whole world is in my hands and under my control” are mistaken. They are cheating themselves. They are cheated by shaytan and their egos.

May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ bless these holy days; every day is blessed insha’Allah. As long as we are on the way of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, in obedience and worship to Him ﷻ, all days are beneficial. They don’t go in vain. What goes in vain is useless. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ help us insha’Allah. May He ﷻ make us steadfast on these ways.
