Proofs Against Ahlu L-Bid’ah

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

, “Allahumma Zidd w Barik”, “O Allah increase it and bless it.” Masha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ make more and more come to happiness, to the way of Allah ﷻ, way of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Each one coming brings more Barakah for the gathering. Because Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, , “Allah’s ﷻ Hand of Power is upon the the community.” [Hadith]. Allah’s ﷻ Hand is upon the gathering. Those who are gathering for Khayr, for a good thing: this is what Allah ﷻ loves. Allah ﷻ is with them. Because this is sometimes difficult to make people gather in the good way. But for the other gathering, for the way of shaytan, it is very easy. Maybe it will be - now we are saying that we are too many here Masha’Allah but they will be a hundred times more than this, ten thousand times more than this. But this is not the other gathering of shaytan that has no benefit. It is only harming people and giving badness, no any benefit; only harm. AlhamduliLlah our gathering is for the sake of Allah ﷻ, for the love of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. We are gathering here for this. And who are coming to this gathering: Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla looks at this gathering with mercy, and gives present for everybody, showers rewards, showers blessings upon this gathering. Because we are trying to learn something, learn the love of Allah ﷻ and love of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

We are just finished with the month of Rabih Al-Awwal, the month of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. AlhamduliLlah here they are have a good custom to celebrate Mawlid since hundreds of years. Because they learnt this from Muslims who came to this area, a far area from the Muslim countries, to teach them this good thing, the way of Ahlu s-Sunnah wal Jama’ah, the way of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, the real Islam. For hundreds of years, they have been celebrating it. And now since maybe 20 or 30 years, some people appeared, as if everybody is idiot and they are clever, and said that this is Bid’ah. For hundreds of years they were doing this. Who is doing this? Each ‘Alim, each scholar, each Awliyau’Llah, each Sheikh, each Imam is equal to a million of these people who care about themselves. If anything was wrong at that time, they wouldn’t be doing this. Why? If anybody has thinking, they are teaching [clearly] what is right and what is not right. So if there’s anything wrong, Allah ﷻ has given good thinking for human beings to know if it’s good or not good. Come and we’ll ask, “What is wrong with gathering for the love of Prophet ﷺ and love of Allah ﷻ? What is wrong?” It is an order to be with people, with the gathering which Allah ‘Azza waJalla in Hadith Qudsi praised. And Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says that Allah ﷻ orders the angels to put their wings under these people’s [feet] who are gathering for learning something, for praising Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, their intention is only to praise Allah ﷻ. This is one [proof]. What is the problem with this gathering?

The second [proof] is: in this Majlis, they are reading first, beginning with Qur’an, Qur’an Azimu sh-Shan. Everybody is listening and everybody is reading. This is in Mawlid. Open the Mawlid and see. The first thing is: “A’ūdhu bi-Llāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm”, beginning with this verse from Qur’an and also later on. What is wrong with reading anything from Qur’an? If you read Qur’an, you become Mushrik? Anybody who has little mind must know. If he says yes, he must be crazy.

After this, Salat wa Salam. We are praising Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wasallam, saying Salat wa Salam. What is wrong with this also? Where is the Bid’ah? Where is the Shirk? Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying, Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm: ‘ ’, ‘Inna Allāha Wa Malā'ikatahu Yuşallūna Alá An-Nabīyi, Yā 'Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Şallū Alayhi Wa Sallimū Taslīmāan’, ‘Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [ Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [ Allah to grant him] peace.’ (Qur’ān 33:56). Allah ﷻ and His ﷻ angels are sending blessings on Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. And He ﷻ is saying, “O believers! There’s an order for you also to praise and make Salat and Salam on Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.” Who has a little bit of understanding leaves the order of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and follows these people?! This is really - How are they making this to cheat people? We do not understand this. What we only understand is that somebody must be an idiot to follow this. Sorry to say this here but we must say this. Any explanation for what they are claiming? Why are they prohibiting to make Mawlid, to go to Mawlid, to have Mawlid? “We don’t know. Only this is what we know.”

So to praise Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is saying - and they say he ﷺ is dead, there is no benefit for Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. First, Prophets are alive, especially Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said to the Sahabah, “When you say Salat and Salam to me, I reply to you.” And some Sahabah also – because when they are too close to each other – many people see Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam like them. “He ﷺ is man, I am man.” But as it is said in Qasidat Burdah, , “Muhammadun basharun wa laysa ka ‘l-bashari. Muhammadun yaaqootatun wa n-naasu ka ‘l-hajari”, “Muhammad ﷺ is a man, but not like other men! Muhammad ﷺ is a ruby and human beings are stones!” Muhammad salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam is a man but not like ourselves. He ﷺ is completely different from head to toe. Every cell in his ﷺ body is different from us. He ﷺ is just light of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. He ﷺ is ruby, and people are like stones. Ruby is stone and stone is stone, but if you put a hundred from stone it is not equal to one ruby.

So some Sahabah were very close. They said something; one was Bedouin, one was an Arab, there were many things. Of course, they have an excuse [for not being learnt]. They don’t know how to differentiate between learning people or not. Their whole life, there isn’t any difference between people according to them. So they were saying to Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, “You, when you die, you will be rotten, what will we do?” Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam looking at these people – they even didn’t know, but this is for teaching us – he ﷺ said, “Earth cannot eat Prophets’ bodies. They will be alive. And when somebody says Salat and Salam, Allah ﷻ gives me my soul again and I reply to them.” And he ﷺ is not in need for the soul, but it is just to make this understandable for those people and our people. So now, there isn’t any second that there isn’t a mentioning of Salat and Salam upon our Prophet ﷺ. Maybe in every second there are thousands of Salat and Salam. So even if they said that he ﷺ died, he ﷺ is all the time alive to reply to the Salat and Salam. Like this is the blessing to make Salat and Salam. And this Mawlid is an occasion to make Salat and Salam upon Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

And AlhamduliLlah from the Barakah of this, we realize that Muslims in this area here are more safe than our place: in [the matter of] making Fitnah between Muslims. The Fitnah here is only these Bid’ah people who say Bid’ah. They are Bid’ah. Because Bid’ah means to create something against Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, against the teaching of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, against the sayings Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, not accepting what Allah ﷻ says. Those who do this are Ahlu l-Bid’ah. Only this is now here. But AlhamduliLlah many of

them when learning more of this teaching, are thinking and coming to be defenders of this way. This is from the Barakah of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam.

Because all of this area, the Far East, they are coming without – Islam is coming to this area without fighting. Until India, it was conquered. Muslims came and conquered it. Million hundreds and millions became Muslim there. Also with Sultan, with Awliyau’Llah, with Ulama, they were sincere people, Allah ‘Azza waJalla opened for them. But here, the Far East, they only became Muslim with the love of Allah ﷻ, nobody fought them, nobody forced them to be Muslim. And even no one from the Muslim army came here. Only Awliyau’Llah, ‘Ulama (scholars), Saliheen (the Righteous Ones), the beloved ones of Allah ﷻ came here. And from their love, they spread the love of Allah ﷻ, love of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wasallam. This is the real love for human beings. This is not love like what they are praising in songs, theater and movies. Love, love, it is not love. This is love of cats only. Real love is this one, love of Allah ﷻ and Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wasallam. This love is forever, not only for some time. They spread this love and all of this area became Muslim, real Muslim, following them. There was Barakah coming to these Awliyau’Llah. And from the Barakah of Awliyau’Llah, Barakah was also spread here. Love of Allah ﷻ and Islam spread with real teaching, no any [fighting].

In our place, especially the Middle East, Muslims have hundreds of divisions among themselves. Nobody accepts this. Many of them are against Sahabah. Many of them are against Ahlu l-Bayt. Many of them are against ‘Ulama. But AlhamduliLlah here, they love Awliyau’Llah, the beloved ones of Allah ﷻ. For the sake of these Awliyau’Llah, and for the sake of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam – because these Awliyau’Llah teach them the love of Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wasallam – Allah ﷻ saved them and Allah ﷻ kept them with no Fitnah between them, without anyone making them against Shari’ah. They have Shari’ah and Tariqah AlhamduliLlah. Everywhere we are going, we are seeing this and they are happy. May Allah ﷻ keep them safe. May Allah ﷻ give Barakah.

People who are not following the teaching of shaytan, the teaching of those jealous of Islam, jealous of people, they will be safe and nobody harms them. Don’t listen to anybody. Don’t say, “We must do this, we must do that.” No. Especially now, we are living in the end of times, you must be awake. You must be following the order of ‘Uli l-Amr. Wherever you are living, you must follow Uli l-Amr and continue your life because you are responsible for yourself, for your family and for your community/gathering. For this, if anybody is doing this, all Muslims can harm themselves. So this is also important.

Don’t say, “They are doing wrong. They are doing good.” If you see something wrong, ask from Allah ﷻ, pray to Allah ﷻ. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla’s door is open. ‘ ’, ‘Id’ūnī ‘Astajib lakum’, ‘Call upon Me; I will respond to you.’ (Qur’ān 40:60). “O people! Pray, make Dua, I will accept your Dua.” Don’t say, “I prayed and asked from Allah ﷻ and it didn’t happen.” Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla does not say anything but the Truth only. So Dua is accepted but maybe not now, maybe later, maybe in Yawmu l-Qiyamah. When Yawmu l-Qiyamah comes, and you see what you made Dua for, what you prayed and asked for, everything you asked for you’ll be given much better, you cannot imagine how much better! After that time, people will be in regret saying, “O, I wish all my prayers didn’t happen in Dunya.” Allah ﷻ gives them in Akhirah, Yawmu l-Qiyamah. It is much better, a thousand times, a million times much better than Dunya.

For this, people, human beings, Muslims especially, must do Dua all the time. And Allah ﷻ insha’Allah when it is good for you, [He ﷻ gives it to you.] everything is in the Hand of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla, and there is His ﷻ Taqdeer (Predestine): when this must happen, when that must happen. You must be patient. And of course, sometimes people because their belief is weak, they are very angry, very bad tempered. They say, “Look what happened! You are not doing anything!” But all of this is from the time that Allah ﷻ gave. Everything that must happen, must happen. We read, BismiLlahi r-Rahmani r-Rahim:, ‘Mā ‘Asāba Min Musībatin 'Illā Bi'idhni Allāhi’, ‘No disaster strikes except by the permission of Allah.” (Qur’ān 64:11). Everything Museebah (affliction) or anything doesn’t happen if not with the order of Allah ﷻ. So don’t be so sorry., ‘Lā Tahzan, ‘Do not grieve.” (Qur’ān 09:40) -, ‘Likaylā Ta'saw `Alá Mā Fātakum Wa Lā Tafraĥū Bimā 'Ātākum’, ‘In order that you not despair over what has eluded you and not exult [in pride] over what He has given you.” (Qur’ān 57:23). Don’t be sorry for what happened and don’t be happy for what you get. It is written. All of this is written. So the believer must understand Islam, they must understand everything so that they will be satisfied and have no sadness and no worry.

May Allah ﷻ help us. May Allah ﷻ help Muslims everywhere because now we are living in a time which is the end of times, so every day a new thing happens, every day a new war, a new thing happens. So from here, from there, in the end insha’Allah Allah ﷻ will send one who will save the whole world insha’Allah. Take them to Salamah insha’Allah, to peace insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ make it near to finish all of this problem insha’Allah.
