Leave What Doesn’t Concern You
As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.
The Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says:
“Part of the perfection of one’s Islam is his leaving that which does not concern him.” To be a good believer, he should leave what doesn’t concern him, he mustn’t be involved with that. There isn’t any benefit in this even for Akhirah.
It means to look at what’s beneficial and what’s not beneficial. Who looks and knows that something is good and beneficial, he must have interest for it. But if it’s not, he mustn’t waste his time with this. Because our life isn’t so long, so we mustn’t waste it with things we mustn’t interfere with.
We should especially not interfere with others’ things. Because many people interfere in everything, they know everything so they say this and that but in reality they are wasting their time. The best thing is that if somebody wants something or is asking for something and you know it, tell him, and it will be good. But if you interfere without them asking and saying what they want, you won’t be welcomed and sometimes they’ll spit on you or they’ll say some bad words to you.
The Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says this for us, for our good and our happiness; and to not be unhappy when interfering in something then hearing some word we don’t like. So what’s better is to keep quiet and be safe. It is a small Hadith but it gives a big advice for us. May Allah ﷻ make us understand and follow what the Prophet salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
