Imitate Our Holy Prophet ﷺ

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya Sadat As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Dastur Mawlana Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghestani, Sheikh Nazim al-Haqqani. Madad. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says,

“Man tashabbaha bi qawmin fahuwa minhum”. Whoever wants to imitate other people, he is from them. In old times, everyone loved their own nation more and accepted their actions and traditions. They didn’t care about the traditions of other people. But nowadays, as it is the end of times, the whole world is like each other. Everyone wants to be alike. There is something called fashion that they have invented. The whole world likes it and follows it. Everyone wants to look trendy.

This is externally, of course. Let’s just skip it. People have gone beyond that. Leave imitating aside, they want the same, they want brands. They want to wear the same and do the same. They’ve spread this sickness all over the world so that people look like each other. They want people to be from them, from people who don’t believe in Allah ﷻ. And that’s a game of shaytan. It is okay when people wear it in a modest way. But what’s more important is the desire to be like them from the inside, to do the same things, to take on their bad traditions and ideas, to imitate them from the inside. This is the main thing. This is what it means to be from those people.

When you don’t look Muslim and don’t like Islam, you are from those people. And when you are from them, “Al-mar’u ma‘a man ahabb”, “A man will be with whom he loves.” (Hadith). If someone loves another nation, other people and things outside of Islam, may Allah ﷻ protect us, he will be gathered with them in Akhirah and be together with them. Ma’az’Allah, he will go to hell as well because of favoring them.

What people should favor, love and try to imitate is our Holy Prophet ﷺ and his Sahabah. You should like them. You should love what they did, as what they did is of benefit, beauty, goodness and generosity to all people. They had all the good characteristics. The rest have all kinds of shame, treachery, filth; you can list them endlessly. People are like this now. They are doing what people of Lūt and people of I don’t know what did. And people are trying to be like them. May Allah ﷻ protect us. They don’t have any side to like or to imitate. A clever person should stay away from them and hate their ideas, because those ideas are against human nature and against the orders of Allah ﷻ. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla created the human nature as beautiful. But people make it dirty when they imitate shaytan. You can be either like shaytan or imitate the beautiful characteristics of our Holy Prophet ﷺ.

May Allah ﷻ help us. It is difficult, as they are after people relentlessly all the time. They are not leaving them alone. Every minute, everywhere they are trying to make people be like them. May Allah ﷻ protect us from their evil. May their evil return to them. May Allah ﷻ protect Muslims, Muslim children, the old and the young.
