Keep the Trusts

3 min read

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya Sadat As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Dastur Mawlana Sheikh Abdullah Faiz Daghestani, Sheikh Nazim al-Haqqani. Madad. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 08:27). ‘Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Lā Takhūnū Allāha Wa Ar-Rasūla Wa Takhūnū ‘Amānātikum, ‘O you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts.’ Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla says, “Do not betray the trust but keep it”. Keep the trusts of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla and our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Guard the trusts of all kinds. First of all, we should keep the trust of our Iman. And then keep the trusts of Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla to people. Don’t betray the trust that people gave you by taking it under your possession. This is the goal.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla gives everyone his Rizq. Everyone has something to take from Halal or Haram. Therefore, look at the Rizq which is Halal. And the most important is the trust. The greatest and the most beautiful attribute of our Holy Prophet ﷺ is Muhammad al-Amin. He was known as the most trustworthy person. Even before Islam, our Holy Prophet ﷺ was the most trustworthy one, the one who kept all the trusts among Quraysh. Moreover, despite so much oppression that came after Islam, and even though so many Mushrik people went against him, they would still leave their trusts with our Holy Prophet ﷺ to keep them safe. As there were no banks before, they would leave their trusts with him. There was no paper money, and the place they were going to could be dangerous. Therefore, they needed a trustworthy person. And even though our Holy Prophet ﷺ was their enemy, they trusted him.

It is one of the best attributes of Muslims. We must have it. There is no treachery in Islam. There is treachery only in hypocrites. Kafirs can keep a trust but hypocrites cannot, because their outside is different from their inside. They cannot keep a trust. They have never kept a trust since the beginning. They looked Muslim but remained Kafir inside since then. Therefore, be careful with the trust. When you are given a trust, return it safely. Do not ever use it for your own interest.

Since the time of Sayyidina Omar’s Khilafah, when oil was put inside the lamp, he never used it in his house. When he had work, he would light it up to write and work. But he would turn it off for the household use so that it doesn’t give light to his own house. They used to pay so much attention to this. People nowadays are given Sadaqah and Zakah, but they use them for their personal interests. It is wrong. May Allah ﷻ protect us. There is no benefit for people in it. There is nothing but loss. Therefore, this matter is an important matter. Many people do it knowingly or unknowingly. So when there is a trust, pay attention to it. And when there is doubt, you should return by adding to it. May Allah ﷻ give Barakah to all of us and not put us in need of such a thing insha’Allah.

Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq.

There are Qur’an Khatms recited for today from all over the world. We dedicate them first of all to our Holy Prophet ﷺ, to his Ahl ul Bayt and Sahabah, all Anbiyah, Awliyah, Mashayikh, especially to our Shaykh Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Hajjah Anne; there are so many recitations done especially to the soul of our Mother Hajjah Amina, to Hala Sultan, to the souls of the Sahabah, Awliyah and Sultans here, to the souls of all the Muslims and Mumins, and especially to the souls of the deceased relatives of those who have recited. May their good goals be reached insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ give cure soon to those who are sick. And may Allah ﷻ protect those who are not sick from diseases and Fitnah of this time. May Allah ﷻ protect us from the troubles. May Allah ﷻ protect us from troubles in this world and from the torment of the Akhirah. May it be means for goodness.

LiLlahi Ta’ala l-Fatiha.
