Keep the Doors of Allah Open
Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh, Auzu Billahi Minashaytanir Rajeem. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasulina Muhammadin Sayyidul Awwalin wal Akhirin, Madad Ya Rasulallah, Madad Ya As’habi RasuLillah, Madad Ya Mashayikhina, Sheykh Abdullah Daghestani, Sheykh Nazim al-Haqqani. Dastur. Tariqatunas sohba, wal khayru fil jamiyya.
Allah ﷻ is with us, thanks be to Allah ﷻ, and when people are tested they should all remember Allah ﷻ. These days are strange days for the whole world, yet thank Allah ﷻ it is more comfortable around here. Why is it more comfortable? Because the mosques are open, the athan is called, and people go and pray in jama'ah (congregation). In other parts of the world, mosques are shut down and they think that it’s going to get better but it’s the opposite. How can you close down mosques just because something like this happened? Those are places where you supplicate to Allah ﷻ, you need to beg Allah ﷻ and you need to ask for a cure; and you do this by going to Allah’s ﷻ houses and asking him. Of course you can do it from anywhere, but no matter how hard it might be they need to be kept open, they shouldn’t be kept closed. Allah ﷻ says in the Holy Quran: ‘ ’, ‘And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allah’, (Qur’ān 72:18). He tells people to go, get together and pray there. For the blessing and barakah of the mosques, and since everything is in His hands, if you close down the mosques then you see how it gets worse.
When there is such a calamity, people should go to the mosque and what’s important is for the mosque to be kept open. Can you close down the doors of the government? No, it doesn’t work. The greatest door is the door of Allah ﷻ, and he tells us to keep that door open. When this door is kept open, it will not let anybody down insha’Allah; it is unlike anything else. In most places, as they say: “The door is like a wall and you’re turned back”, but nobody is turned back empty handed from the door of Allah ﷻ.
We need to supplicate and beg Allah ﷻ all the time. Ask Him and know that Allah ﷻ is with you. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen through Allah’s ﷻ will and His permission; nothing that he doesn’t wish for happens. When you are in tests or trials, say a hundred times every day: ‘ ’ [La hawl wala quat 'iilaa biAllah alealiu aleazim] and ‘ ’ [Hasbuna Allah waniem alwakil], they both help and their rewards are only known by Allah ﷻ.
There is no need to be fearful, anxious or sad. Everything is in His hands, and if He didn’t want it nothing could happen. May Allah ﷻ guide people because there are people who go astray even during these times. May Allah ﷻ guide them, give them common sense and intelligence and give us a stronger faith insha’Allah.
Wa Minallah at-Tawfeeq. Al-Fatiha.
