Not Everything We See is the Truth

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:
“O Allah! show us the truth as true, and grant us to follow it.” This is a Dua of our Holy Prophet ﷺ. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ asks Allah ﷻ for help so that we can see the truth and follow it. This is a beautiful Dua because not everything we see is the truth. The truth is not what you say is true according to your own mind. If you go after something that is not the truth, meaning that is not right, it will not benefit you. Sometimes it can also harm; most of the time it does harm because what is right is not according to one’s ego.
In religious, worldly and all aspects, there are things that Allah ﷻ has made right. If a person knows the right thing, he will always do it. But most people say, “I’m going to do this job, it’s good.” They go after a job, then it doesn’t come out as they thought, and they suffer a loss. Likewise in the hereafter, but of course it is worse. They go into some ways saying that this is the right way, but it is not right. When it is not right, that’s when the real harm happens. The harms of this world are nothing, they can be compensated. But if they persists on that way, then things will be bad in the hereafter. May Allah ﷻ show us the truth and show us the good insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ make us all successful in that.
Wa min Allah at-Tawfiq. Al-Fatiha.
