What’s Most Important in Life

IS ALLĀH’S ﷻ PLEASURE As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Shukr to Allāh ﷻ, we have returned from this journey. It was a blessed journey for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, in shā’a Llāh. As the ḥadīth sharīf states, whoever loves for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, whoever hates for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, whoever gives and receives for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, if everything one does is for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, then that person has īmān. May everything be for the sake of Allāh ﷻ. When our journeys, our stays, our comings and goings are all for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, then we will have earned Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure. That is the most important thing in this life.

As we see, people have become enemies of one another, they cannot stand each other. That is not a good thing. Why? Because they have forgotten the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ, they have become engrossed in the world. They love what they love for their own ego. They hate what they hate for their own ego. They do not love what Allāh ﷻ loves, and they love what Allāh ﷻ does not love. Therefore, everyone is not at rest. They are only thinking of their egos, wondering what will happen and what will remain. They harm themselves. And they don’t bring peace to others, nor to their families.

Therefore, a person who seeks Allāh ﷻ’s pleasure for the sake of Allāh ﷻ, Allāh ﷻ will be pleased with them. Their life will be good. They will accept everything. They will know that everything that happens comes from Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Therefore, they will neither love this nor quarrel with that. Life is already passing by. Ramaḍān has passed, Eid has passed. In almost a couple of months, ḥajj will come, the new year, the new Hijrī year will come. It’s all passing by.

Therefore, let’s live life beautifully. Let’s live life as Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla wants. Let’s live as Allāh ﷻ says. Ignorant people say, “We only live once, let’s have fun,” but having fun doesn’t benefit them. If your enjoyment isn’t in accordance with Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure, you can’t have fun, you can’t have peace and you can’t be happy. Those who are with Allāh ﷻ are happy. Otherwise, you’ll just keep sinking deeper. Those who seek Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure will rise higher and higher, by Allāh’s ﷻ permission. That is what’s important.

Therefore, may Allāh ﷻ grant us all to attain His ﷻ pleasure, in shā’a Llāh. May Allāh ﷻ bless our days, months, and our every hour, in shā’a Llāh. To be blessed means to attain Allāh’s ﷻ pleasure. May Allāh ﷻ be pleased with us.
