The Time of Forbidding Goodness

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

There is a blessed saying,

When people are with Himmah, they can even move mountains from their place. Nothing can stand against them. When a person wants to, he can do this with Allāh’s ﷻ permission. But they must do goodness. People find it easier to do evil and harder to do good. Why? Because if one tries to do good, shayṭāns will prevent him, his ego will prevent him, the people around him will prevent him.

This is the state of the world now. They forbid goodness; they consider it bad. They show the bad as good. You can’t say anything about the bad. You can’t say “It’s badness” about the badness. This is immediately - because most people are with the badness. They introduced evil as good, and believed in it. When they could live like a clean and good person, they do the exact opposite. They also show it as good.

Let alone that, if you say, “We did this. You do so,” that’s not enough. If a minority of three or five people are doing good, they don’t want them either. They say, “You must be like us.” In old times, people were like that. When a prophet came, he called them for guidance there. No one accepted. Then, they attacked him too, “How dare you! They enjoin goodness. They enjoin beauty. We don’t want them.” May Allāh ﷻ protect us, this time has become the same. Doing good has become difficult. When it’s difficult, the more difficult it is, the greater the reward and thawāb.

Therefore, a person on the way of Allāh ﷻ should not care about anything others show, or anything they do. The order of Allāh ﷻ is important. You must follow it. Even if all people are against you, let them not like you, let them not love you, but you must do that. They have no value. The value lies in the good deeds. As we said, the harder it is, the more reward it has. May Allāh ﷻ grant us ease. May Allāh ﷻ guide people.

People are already doing so much that most people they think what they do is good. They think all the evil and sins they’ve done are normal and good. They think, “That’s how life is.” Whereas, there is mind and logic. Allāh’s ﷻ order is clear and we must follow it. Those who don’t follow it will have no benefit but a lot of harm. May Allāh ﷻ protect us. May Allāh ﷻ guide people.
