7 min read

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad.

1Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Know that every time you make Sajdah to Allah ﷻ, Allah ﷻ certainly raises your rank and erases your sin for that.” There is a great virtue in every Sajdah. Both your Maqam is raised, and sins are forgiven and erased, Shukr to Allah ﷻ.

2Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “The most virtuous of the prayer is that with long Qiyam.” Reciting Surah al-Fatihah and other Surahs longer while standing is the best and most virtuous. Certainly, a person can make it longer when he is alone. And when you are Imam in Jama’ah, it is according to the state of the Jama’ah.

3Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “The moment when a servant is closest to His ﷻ Lord is the position of Sajdah. Hence, make a lot of Dua in Sajdah.” Allah ﷻ says “I am closer to you than your jugular vein.” But as a virtue, the Mu’min is closest when he is in Sajdah. That is the closest to Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Therefore, our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam tells to make a lot of Dua in Sajdah.

4Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Make your Sajdah correctly after Ruku’.” When the Sahabah were praying behind our Holy Prophet ﷺ, he ﷺ told them to make it correctly. Of course, it applies to all the Ummah. All the Ummah should do so too. “I swear to Allah ﷻ,” our Holy Prophet ﷺ is swearing by Allah ﷻ, “when you make Ruku’ and Sujud, I see you from my back.” One of the miracles of our Holy Prophet ﷺ is seeing behind his back just like he ﷺ sees the front. Therefore, he ﷺ was warning the Sahabah so that they were careful.

5Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Make a lot of Sajdah. There is no Muslim that Allah ﷻ doesn’t raise his rank in paradise in return for every Sajdah he makes.” In order to increase your rank in paradise, increase your Sajdah in this world. When you enter paradise in Akhirah, your rank will be the same. Therefore, as much worship and goodness you can do, you should do them in this world. It will raise your rank and erase your sin.

6Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “When someone among you raises his head before the Imam, is he not afraid of Allah ﷻ turning his head into the head of donkey, or changing his appearance to the appearance of a donkey?” When the Imam leads the prayer and goes from Ruku’ to Sajdah, you must follow him. If someone rushes and does it before the Imam makes Ruku’ or goes down to Sajdah, our Holy Prophet ﷺ says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla can turn his appearance to that of donkey. May Allah ﷻ protect us. He ﷺ says to fear it.

7Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “When someone among you raises his head, is he not afraid that he may lose his sight?” If he gets up before the Imam, there is a danger of going blind, says our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. May Allah ﷻ protect us.

8Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “I was ordered to make Sajdah with seven bones which are a forehead, two hands, two knees and two toes.” When a person goes down to Sajdah, things he ﷺ mentioned starting with the forehead and two by two make them seven parts. This is while performing the prayer, of course. “We are forbidden to pull up our clothes and long hair.” If you hair is going down while making Sajdah, no need to pull it up with your hands. And no need to pull up the dress. As long as it is not close to falling, no need to touch it.

9Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Undoubtedly, Allah Almighty doesn’t accept the prayer of those who don’t touch the ground with their noses.” When going down to Sajdah, we must touch the ground with our noses.

10-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Your hands make Sajdah just like your face makes Sajdah.” You cannot make Sajdah without putting down your hands. “When someone among you is going to put his face down, he should put his hands down too. When he raises his face from Sajdah, he should lift his hands up too.” When you go down to Sajdah, you put down your head, your forehead and hands. And then you raise your head and lift your hands.

11-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Hellfire will burn the bodies of sons of Adam apart from the parts which make Sajdah.” Certainly, even if Muslims, there will be many people who will go to hell because of the mistakes and sins they make. But that fire won’t burn the parts which make Sajdah. It will burn all the parts of the body. But it won’t burn the places of the body which made Sajdah. “Hellfire is forbidden to burn the mark of prostration.” Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla does not give permission to that fire to burn and touch the marks of Sajdah. No matter if they are mistaken or sinners, hellfire won’t touch the parts on which they make Sajdah.

12-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Say 3 times Subhan’Allah in Ruku’ and Sajdah.” They have their Tasbih.

13-Qala RasuluLlah salla Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ (peace be upon him ﷺ) says:

Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying, “Sajdah is made with seven body parts which are two hands, two feet, two knees and the forehead. When you see Ka’bah, on Safa and Marwah, on ‘Arafat, in Muzdalifah, when stoning shaytan, and when the Iqamah is made for a prayer, you should raise your hands.” For the prayer and in the mentioned places, you should raise your hands and give Salam.

Sadaqa RasuluLlah fi ma qal, aw kama qal. The Messenger of Allāh ﷻ says the truth in what he ﷺ said or as he ﷺ said.
