Beware of the Servant’s Right

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 89:25-26). ‘Fayawma'idhin Lā Yuadhdhibu Adhābahu~ 'Aĥadun (25) Wa Lā Yūthiqu Wathāqahu~'Aĥadun’, ‘So on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment (25) And none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers].’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying, “It is on that day that everyone will give his own account. No one will give account for someone else,” says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. That day is the day of Judgment. That day is the day of reckoning. No one can escape from the reckoning.

There are many people who run away from the reckoning in this world. There are many people who get away with it from the worldly account. There are many people who oppress and cheat others, who bring suffering to them. They think they escape from their account in this world. They think they are saved. “There are no papers, no documents. I’ve cheated him. I’ve oppressed another one, and no one could say anything.” They get happy to themselves by thinking so.

The main place is Akhirah. No oppression, no badness goes in vain. They will certainly be questioned. And everyone will give his own account. No one can do it for others, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. Therefore, people who do badness in this world will pay for that in Akhirah. It won’t go for nothing.

If they want to be saved while still alive, the most important task for them in this life is to do whatever is required to make it right with the people they’ve oppressed. It is more important than studying, more important than universities, more important than diplomas, more important than everything. It is more important than work. Asking for the blessing and forgiveness from people for the badness you’ve done to them is the most important thing. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is forgiving. He ﷻ forgives those who repent. But the right of a servant belongs to that servant. If you don’t pay the servant’s right back, you will be punished for that. May Allah ﷻ protect us from the rights of servants.

Oftentimes, righteous and good people rely on the words of others without any right but give them their right, whereas that is not their right. Nevertheless, in order to be clean in the presence of Allah ﷻ and so that worldly matters are not transferred to Akhirah, they give it. Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla certainly rewards for that. Therefore, we must be protected from the servants’ rights. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May we not take anyone’s right knowingly or unknowingly. May Allah ﷻ protect us.

When it happens unknowingly, Sadaqah is given for that in this world. You should repent for things you did unknowingly, and Allah ﷻ will forgive. But taking the servant’s right on purpose is very dangerous. May Allah ﷻ protect us. May Allah ﷻ give mind and understanding to people so that they think and know that the things they do are not good but bad insha’Allah.
