We are the Luckiest Nation

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

A‘ūdhu biLlāhi mina sh-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

“Wa li-Kulli Qawmin Haad”, “And for every people is a guide.” (Qur’an 13:07). Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla is saying that for each nation there’s someone to show them the way, to guide them. Everywhere in this world, Allāh ﷻ sent a prophet. But the most known Prophets are all from the area of the Middle East. We don’t know what the wisdom is but most of those from this area are those who are known. Those who are not known were all around the world; in Asia, in Europe, in America, in Africa, even in Australia. All of these, Allāh ﷻ sent for them. Because humans don’t know and forget. They mix up. So Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla knows whom He ﷻ sent for them. He ﷻ said, “I sent for every nation.”

The known Prophets have a book. But human beings changed them to a different direction. What people like to say, they said, “This is what the Prophet is saying. We are following this”, cheating people. And this was the same in all places. Many people were worshipping some idol. They maybe saw in old, ancient time the Prophet made a miracle. But after not following him, slowly slowly, shaytan made them to change to idol.

All prophets are in one religion. Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm: ‘ ’, ‘Inna d-Dīna inda Allāhi l-Islām’, ‘Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.’ (Qur’ān 03:19). The religion in the Divine Presence of Allāh ﷻ is Islam. All Prophets are in Islam. All are in Islam, but of course, each one has - there’s no problem with [teaching]. But in practicing, there was a difference between one and another. But this is not an important difference, just for daily

[duties] or for life, lifestyle. Like what? Like in the law of Sayyidina Musa, the first boy inherits everything, and no inheritance for ladies. And there was, of course also, no work on Saturdays. So there’s a little difference in practicing Shari’ah, only Shari’ah, but the religion is the same. The ten orders (commandments) are still the same ten orders. Praying, fasting and giving Zakat, were also in the old prophets’ Shari’ah.

For this, all Prophets are the same. They are for teaching people good things. And the old, before Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, were very strict about worshipping; not any tolerance. Al-ḥamdu liLlāh, with Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, Allāh ﷻ gave mercy us, He ﷻ made it easy. Everybody can practice easily. Because before, there was some - In Mūsa ‘alayhi s-salām’s Shari’ah, their fasting was for 6 months. And they were only eating once at Maghrib and finish.

For this, when Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam was going for Mīrāj, Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam told Sayyidinā Mūsa ‘alayhi s-salām the order to pray 50 times every day. He said, “This is too much. O my brother, Muhammad ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, ask your Lord to make it less. They cannot do it. My nation couldn’t do it and Allāh ﷻ cursed them.” And then Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam asked to make it less because it was too much. Sayyidina Musa said, “Ask for Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla’s Mercy and to make it more easy for us.” And he ﷺ said okay and it became 45. Prophet ﷺ was happy, AlhamduliLlah, it became 5 times lesser. He ﷺ thought it was very good for the Ummah. And he ﷺ came to Sayyidinā Mūsa. Sayyidinā Mūsa said, “Also too much. Ask again.” Then also, Prophet ﷺ went and came back, and every time, Sayyidinā Mūsa ‘alayhi s-salām was saying that it was too much, too much, too much until it became 5 times only. Mūsa ‘alayhi s-salām was a good bargainer. “This is also too much”, he said. Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said, “No, I am ashamed to ask anymore.”

So it was 5 times for us. Of course as we said, Sayyidinā Mūsa knows from his experience with his nation that it is too much for people to make worshipping. So Alhamdulillah, our religion now, for anybody from human beings, is very easy. Whoever says it is difficult is lazy or a liar. Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam said in last (farewell) Hajj Khutba, “Today, I completed your religion.” “I am happy with this”, he ﷺ said. Because this religion is complete, no more changing, no any added difficultly. It is the minimum thing for human beings.

So with doing everything - the old nations were making more than us in multiple times, but our reward more than theirs. AlhamduliLlah, we are thanking Allāh ﷻ for this, that He ﷻ created us in this time. People think it is the worst time but it is the best time for believers. Allāh ﷻ is showering His ﷻ rewards and blessings on believers. May Allāh ﷻ make us to be happy with Him ﷻ all the time insha’Allah, and thanking Him ﷻ for this. We are lucky. Many people say, “20 years ago, it was very nice. 50 years ago it was much nicer.” But we are here now, so we must be happy. Don’t look at before, don’t look at after. Just look at yourself now.
