Know the Value of Salawat

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa RaḥmatuLlāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu BiLlāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. BismiLlāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi RasūliLlāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al- Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Bismi Llāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm:

(Qur’ān 33:56). ‘Inna Llāha wa mala‘īkatahu yuṣallūna ’ala n-nabiyyi ya‘ ayyuhā alladhīna ā‘manū ṣallū ’alayhi wa sallimū taslīma, ‘Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet: O you who have believed! Ask blessings on him, and salute him with all respect.’ Ṣadaqa Llāhu l-‘Aẓīm.

Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is ordering, “Make Salat and Salam on our Holy Prophet ﷺ.” Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla is making Salawat on him ﷺ and angels also. So you make Salawat, too, says Allah ‘Azza wa-Jalla. This is an order.

Without Salawat, neither your Iman is complete, nor your praying, nor your fasting; nothing is complete then. When you make Salat and Salam on our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam, it brings benefit to you as well. When you make one Salawat, Allah ﷻ writes down ten fold Thawab. And a reply comes to you from our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ says the same to you. Our Holy Prophet ﷺ is saying in Hadith Sharif, “Whoever makes Salawat on me, I do the same to him.”

It is a great favor. But people don’t know its value. They think nothing happens no matter if they say it or not. Some people don’t say it without knowing. And some people don’t say it on purpose; that is worse. When they don’t know, Allah ﷻ forgives them. People may respect him ﷺ. But out of laziness, or because it doesn’t strike their minds, they don’t make Salawat. The more Salawat people make on our Holy Prophet ﷺ every day - 100, 200, 300, 500; they must do so. They must make at least 100 Salawat. That is the least.

The month of Sha’ban is coming. It is the month of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam. We must make twice as much Salawat. If you are making 100 times, make it 200 times. If you are making 200 times, make it 400 times. If you are making 400 times, make it 800 or 1,000. There is no harm but benefit. It is a treasure. When people hear about treasure, they are ready to jump and take it, whereas the real treasure is this. What will remain with you for Akhirah are these things.

May Allah ﷻ let the pleasure of our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam be upon us. May He ﷻ fill our hearts with his ﷺ love. We must love our Holy Prophet ﷺ more than everything in this world. It is an order. It is an order to love him ﷺ more than your mother, father and yourself. May Allah ﷻ let us carry out these beautiful orders insha’Allah. May Allah ﷻ bless it insha’Allah.
