Best Is Long Life with Good Deeds

As-Salāmu ‘Alaykum wa Raḥmatullāhi wa Barakātuh. A‘ūdhu Billāhi Minash-shayṭāni r-rajīm. Bismillāhi r-Raḥmāni r-Raḥīm. Wa ṣ-Salātu wa s-Salāmu ‘alá Rasūlinā Muḥammadin Sayyidi l-Awwalīna wa l-Akhirīn. Madad yā RasūlAllāh, Madad yā Sādāti Aṣḥābi Rasūlillāh, Madad yā Mashāyikhinā, Dastūr Mawlana Sheikh Abdullāh al-Fā’iz ad-Dāghistāni, Sheikh Muḥammad Nāẓim al-Ḥaqqānī. Madad. Ṭarīqatunā aṣ-Suḥbah wa l-Khayru fi l-Jam‘iyyah.

Our Holy Prophet ṣallá Llāhu ‘alayhi wa-sallam says, "Khayrukum man ṭāla ‘umruhu wa ḥasana ‘amaluhu.” The best among you is the person who lives a long life and does good deeds. That is a good person. And the worst among you is the person who lives a long life and harms people. The harmful person is from those disliked by Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla.

Certainly, Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has given a lifetime to everyone. And Allāh ﷻ knows it. How long they will live, how much they will breathe; that is appointed by Allāh ﷻ. Nothing happens outside His ﷻ will. Children and babies may live for a day, or ten days. People may live for ten or hundred years. That is by the will of Allāh ﷻ. But it is stupidity to waste and miss this life.

It is a skill to know that this life is a favour and to live it as Allāh ﷻ wants. People will pass away leaving everything anyway. They will pass to ākhirah with nothing in their hands. People who do bad deeds will find nothing in ākhirah. And good people will reach great ranks. The highest wish of people is to be in paradise. They will be given this as long as they have the pleasure of Allāh ﷻ and as long as they are good ones. Otherwise, they are useless.

People nowadays not only don't know this, they don't believe this. They don't want to believe. You may or may not believe. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla has no benefit from you. And nothing has any effect to Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla from your badness. You do it to yourself. Whatever people do, they do it to themselves. Others may strive as much as they want. Unless they put effort and work, no one will help them. Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla created people of all kinds. There are various characteristics. Just like various characteristics, they have various thoughts, and their capacities are different.

There is a type of people that whatever you tell them, they find an excuse, they find a pretext. Everyone is to blame for them, and they are innocent. They cannot do anything. "Do this" - "I can't.Do that, there is this job." - "No, that job is like that.There is such a duty." - "That duty is bad because of this.Do this." - "No, it's not suitable for me.There is another job." “No, they treated me badly.” There is such a type of people. They live by in this world as they like for themselves.

But there is another type which doesn't accept or like anything. They don't accept the orders of Allāh ﷻ for ākhirah, they don't accept the orders of Islām. Their condition is worse and more dire because where they will end up eventually is not a good place. They think people will remember and say "Our country had such a person” when they die. They say, “Throw me in a hole, don't come to me after I die.” They think they will be saved when they die. But the real life starts afterwards. You will be punished then. You will see the reality of Allāh ‘Azza wa-Jalla then. If it is true or not. What is true is true with the permission of Allāh ﷻ. We are all going towards the truth. Everyone will see: those who believe and who don't believe. May Allāh ﷻ protect us in shā’a Llāh.
